What are yalls thoughts on the Remington 5r? I'm thinking about selling my AR-15 and purchasing a 5r 308 I'm looking for an accurate rifle that I could use for target and hunting (heavy rifles don't bother me for hunting) that would be a good suppressor host

Go for it, or a SPSS like mine, its very accurate as well as you can see.

I got a 5R Milspec with the 20" Threaded Barrel and Absolutely LOVES IT!!! Currently in a B&C M40 Stock, with Vortex Viper PST 4-16x50 FFP Scope with XTR Lows and Weaver 20 MOA Base. The gun is Super Balanced and Comfortable for any application! With everything listed and loaded it weighs in at 10 lbs!

I'm not a good shooter by any means but so far my 100 YRD Average is well under 1 MOA. Mostly .75 and some even under Half MOA! I am absolutely Hooked on Precision Shooting Now! I'm sure you'll Love it Too! Good Luck Bro!

If you want a suppressor on it, Remington makes one ready to go, threaded barrel and all, just choose your can.
My factory LTR is a tack driver right out of the box.
But you can not go wrong with the 5R rifling.

1. Stock 5R
2. LaRue 20MOA base
3. Harris bi-pod non swivel
4. YHM .308 brake
5. Vortex diamondback 3-9x40 BDC(for now)

the remy 5R is a good, accurate reliable rifle out of the box with tons of accessories to fit your need.
nothing wrong with it at all.
