Re: My KAC SR25 at GPS sniper school in Arizona

Hey guys it performed better than I thought.. The last picture on the bottom was at the 1200 yard range. You had to score two consecutive hits on it and I hit 3rd/4th shot. Wind was swirling pretty good in that valley, but luckily I had a good spotter.

It was funny I would have had 2nd rd hit I think but the wind changed and the spotter told me he was going to tell me to hold, but I squeezed it off just as he was about to and of course missed, but connected on 3 and 4.

The rifle obviously shined above the competition during the moving head shot target with limited exposure at 250 yards. Most of the students were using bolt guns.

The 100 yard grouping were all very good. I have no doubt the rifle can shoot tighter than I can. Everything was around 1/2-3/4 MOA.

My only complaint was that stupid bipod. I should have gotten one much lower and than I would have no complaints.

Also most of the students were using the school guns which are short barreled rem 700s.. I would have prefered that any day on the final stalking exercise. Dragging that rifle was heavy and akward compared to the small 700s

Thank you very much

Good looking gun KAC and congrats on the school completion. I noticed your location as Iraq, thank you for your service to our country bud. It is because of you and our other warriors we were still able to celebrate the 4th of July yesterday!

Contracting now man, but thanks for the props.

Re: My KAC SR25 at GPS sniper school in Arizona

Must be fun to run a semi at these. Would love to do this with a 22 inch GAP 10 in 6.5 CM. Or a really light bolt gun lol

Re: My KAC SR25 at GPS sniper school in Arizona

Shooting that rifle was like a dream. I am glad I purchased it and I had a great time at that school. It did equal to or better than the bolt guns in everything except that last stalk was an uncomfortable experience lol but it did the job.

Shooting the moving head shots was childs play once you got the lead down. The recoil is barely more than an M16 so you never lose sight picture the entire time you're engaging multiple targets.

All in all I could not be happier with the rifle.

Re: My KAC SR25 at GPS sniper school in Arizona

Thank you, I bought it on Gunbroker.com I added the PRS, Magpul MIAD pistol grip, and the Nightforce unimount and scope.

Old school sand sock.... Love it!

Re: My KAC SR25 at GPS sniper school in Arizona

Haha roger that... My only complaint like I said was that damn bipod.. it was solid, but way to high.. My fault for putting it on there I should have known better. I had to use the drag bag for my elbows/upper chest to bring me up high enough.

Throw a shorter harris on there and I will call that rifle done.

Re: My KAC SR25 at GPS sniper school in Arizona

That bipod is always something I can never figure out what size I want

Re: My KAC SR25 at GPS sniper school in Arizona

Very nice setup except for the bipod !
enjoy !!!!!!!!

Re: My KAC SR25 at GPS sniper school in Arizona

How did you like the school, do you think its worth it. I've thinking about getting some proper training and the GPS school is close. Thanks.

Re: My KAC SR25 at GPS sniper school in Arizona

nice weapon ...please take take care of her ,well ....

Re: My KAC SR25 at GPS sniper school in Arizona

Nice setup. An Atlas bipod would be good on it but so will a Harris. A lot of people who have Pelican cases like that flip their foam cutout the other way so the scope is up top by the handle. Probably won't hurt anything the way it is though. If you haven't already seen them, check out the medium PRS tripod with a cradle from Hide member Platypus who owns Precision Rifle Solutions
