Rifle Scopes Super Sniper 16x on LMT MWS

I have a .308 LMT MWS with 18" factory SS barrel inbound shortly.

I intend to utilize this rifle in a precision role at ranges that will eventually reach up to 1000yds as my skill grows.

I ultimately plan to top the rifle with a 3.5-15 Nightforce but was considering purchasing a Super Sniper 16x until I have the funds for the Nightforce and using it to begin to learn the gun (first precision gas gun).

The plan is to mount the SS in an ADM Recon 20MOA 30mm mount (assuming I'll need the extra built in MOA) and then eventually use the same ADM mount for the NF and sell the SS.

Any issues running either of these two scopes in the mentioned mount? Do I need the 20MOA mount to reach 1000yds?

I don't think you'll have an issue. I have a Larue mount with 10MOA on my MWS.

Why the 16x though? IMO, the new 10x or 12x SS would be better suited, unless you intend to shoot at nothing but extended ranges.

I would get the 10X also if you need a 20moa mount with it I'd be surprised.

my new 16x on my varmit... i use it a goundhogs , and have shot as close at 30y to 610y with kills this summer... also, some sighters out to 1k...

u dont "need" a 20moa, but for the same price, buy it... it will insure u can play out to 1500 if u ever want to..

Duely noted on the magnification. Your probably right that a fixed 10x or 12x would be better suited.

Got the call that my MWS will be here this week.

I have taken your advice and think that the 12x will probably better suit my needs.

If I don't need a 20MOA mount to reach 1k yards with the Super Sniper or Nightforce, which ADM mount do you suggest for the MWS? The Recon, Recon S, Recon X, or another?
