Since I installed some Warne rings on my Classic stocked 308Win thought id sight it in with a new load. Took the max load of 48.5grs 2000MR and knocked off .5grs and seated the 168 AMAX to its usual OAL of 2.820". After the 1st shot on paper I adjusted to hit about 2.5" high @100yds and shot a 3 shot group, since I only have a 6X scope on this rifle it wasnt a precision test for sure, but results netted a 3 shot group just a hair over an inch, and I mean a hair. But the real good thing about this load is the velocity should be good for around 2700fps, but that would be good for you guys & gals you like more velocity from your 168s. Here's the 3 shots, the hole circled in black was from my 6mm, never mind that. More than enough accuracy for those who wish to hunt with a bullet of this weight.

I might try this load in my SPSS so I can see what it really does. That wears a 6-24 Burris.
