Looking for a starting point powder data.

I can't figure out the "search" function to save my life!

Currently loading the 250AB with 93.5 grains Ramshot Magnum.

Any help would be appreciated

Re: .338 Norma Magnum/ 300 gr Berger Hybrid

OK, so I did it myself.

Went out today with the .338 Norma Mag and the 300 grain Berger Hybrids with Ramshot Magnum.

My load with the 250AB is 93.5 grains so I figured I'd start a 90 grains and work up shooting at 760 yards. The first 3 shots had ejector marks, so went home and went back to the drawing board.

Charged 40 cases starting at 86 grains up to 89.5 grains with the Berger at .028" off the lands. Hit a good non vertical node at 88.5 grains at 600 yards as well as a nice non vertical 5 shot group at 89.5 grains. 90 grains was ejector mark MAX, so the 89.5 is reeealllly close especially today at 95 degrees.

Both loads had about 1" to 1.5" of vertical....

Velocity was a guess from dialing up to 11.25 MOA from a 100 yard zero. Right at about 2750fps.

I think a slower powder will be better giving better case fill and velocity, but this will work for the Magnum Match at Whittington on the 22ND..........................
