Hello all,

I am looking for some .300 magnum picture's. If you can tell me the specific's on your barrel I would appreciate it. I am trying to get a good idea of what kind of barrel countour I am going to go with on my .300 wm.

I was origionally going to go with a sendaro, but decided against it and go with something much bigger.

Picture's please!
Thanks a lot gents,
-Ms

You sir, have a great memory! I was going to use a fluted Mike Rock, but I decided to sell it and swap it out for a Bartlein, then I decieded to swap it out for a Krieger at the last minute.. I used the Bartlein for my wifes .308 win project, which turned out excellent.

As a matter of fact.. Here it is...

Mike Rock M24 contour:

Here's my 300WM with 25" M24/M40 contour Bartlein barrel. Has a Surefire brake on it.

Yeah, that's it exactly, loved the fluting... I think you made a fine choice with what you went with though... OK, back on topic

Re: .300 WM Picture's - Your barrel countour

Drake Associates Stalker 700 / .300WM with heavy tactical profile featuring the AAC Blackout muzzle break. 1.2 at reciever to 1.0 at the muzzle and the overall length on the barrel is a 26" on this weapon shown in this pic.

We chose an updated heavy tactical profile to use on our system to minimize POA / POI shift with suppressor systems.

Barrel is coated in Cerakote as well as we find this material very durable.

Re: .300 WM Picture's - Your barrel countour

I wanted to see some of the MTU's to help decide between that and the M40 taper. The decision was easy to go ahead with a fluted MTU.

Some amazing looking rifle's out there, wow.

Thanks a lot for the response's!

Much appreciated,
-Ms

Re: .300 WM Picture's - Your barrel countour

Those are some amazing looking rifle's. The only contour I have used with the rifle's I have had done was the M24. I really like the looks of that MTU and i'm sure the extra weight will be nice

Thanks again all,

Re: .300 WM Picture's - Your barrel countour

WOW! That's a sharp looking rifle right there. I need to start looking into a good smith to give my stick a good flute job like that.

Please carry on with the picture's!

Many thanks,
-Ms

Re: .300 WM Picture's - Your barrel countour

Here's mine. A Shilen #8, 1.2" tapering to 1". It finished at 27 1/2" with the brake & weighs a little over 7lbs. The rifle is about 19 1/2lbs & is nothing to shoot but sucks to carry.
