I'm thinking of using a Nightforce Unimount to mount a NF F1 to my FN SPR which has a Near 20 MOA base. Unimounts only come in 20 MOA so if I mount one on a 20 MOA base that would make 40 MOA of total cant, correct? The NF F1's have 100 MOA of elevation adjustment so will I still be able to get a 100yd zero? Yes, I realize I don't need that much can't for a .308. Just wanted to make sure I can still get a 100 yd zero with this combination and their isn't some fancy trig involved with stacking a canted mount on a canted base. I'm looking to switch this scope between two rifles which is why I want a mount over traditional rings and I prefer not to have QD levers hence the Unimount.

It should work, my buddy put a 40MOA NF base on his Rem 700 338 EDGE, and litterally had 3 clicks left on his scope at a 100 yard zero. It was perfect for him, hopefully your 308 will be the same.

I ran the same set up on my 260....and had a total of 97moa to the top and had one full Rev down which allowed adjustment for zero. I think you should be fine but you never know.

Thanks for the responses. I plan on getting the 1.125 Unimount which is the same height as their high rings and only 1/8 of an inch higher than the mediums that the F1 comes with. I don't think the height over bore will be too much.

One way to check is to zero your rifle with the rings you have and see if you have an extra 20 moa in your elevation that you can adjust down. Quick and easy way to verify before dropping the money on a mount. That is what I did with my 308 and it works fine with a 20 moa mount and 20 moa base.
