Where: Phoenix Rod and Gun Club
What: DMR/SPR rifle match(rifle only; scope required, 4x magnifier minimum)
Why: I make rifles and we all have one, so come and shoot it
When: Aug. 25th, 6:45 range brief, start shooting at 7am. Range brief is required, so don't be late!
How: Any DMR/SPR rifle with no steel core ammo, if you ruin my steel you will buy it.

Specifics:
Cost $15 for members; $20 for non-members,
There will be at least 8 stages of fire, distance will range from cqb to 500+ yards, targets will be generous(in my mind)
Round count will be around 80 rounds if you don't miss.
We will squad up in the morning and stay with designated squads, pertinent info will be given during range/safety brief.
223 up to 308 caliber will be allowed as long as you have ammo that will not damage our steel.
this will be a mixture of shooting, some run and gun, some prone, some obstacles(Im fat and i can do it) and other props will be used. we will probably use the mover as well!
We will be shooting all steel targets and have spotters within the squad.

If you don't know what a SPR rifle or a DMR rifle is, google it. You will not be allowed to switch rifles/optics once the match starts. flip down magnifiers can be used.

If you want a hint of what we'll be doing, this saturday is our precision rifle match down at PRGC@7am, it will be similiar but with semi-auto rifles.

DO NOT PM ME HERE, I probably will not see it or answer, please any viable questions, email me: scott AT specializeddynamics.com

Thanks Scott.

I just said screw it and bought an elcan, so I am good to go. I should be there.

Re: DMR/SPR rifle match in Phoenix

LOL, we'll talk more tomorrow. its gonna pretty much be a mini match like we run, but also a cqb stage or two thrown in.

Re: DMR/SPR rifle match in Phoenix

Gonna make this one. Got the itch again to shoot longer range again. I assume it's okay to bring an AR out to Thursday practice?

Thanks,

Rich

Re: DMR/SPR rifle match in Phoenix

Can a red dot be mounted with an angle mount along with a scope? I don't know if the minimum power of 3.5 will be too much for the cqb part.

Re: DMR/SPR rifle match in Phoenix

yes sir, and i guess i should re-phrase my 3x mandatory, it should read highly recommended. I want everyone to come out and have a good time. Some targets will be very hard to engage without optics of some magnification.

Re: DMR/SPR rifle match in Phoenix

Stages are designed, this will be a total time plus penalties format(there will be a par time on all stages). Prizes are being gathered as well.

Re: DMR/SPR rifle match in Phoenix

Scott,

Didn't make practice this week. Tied up at work. I'll be there for sure this week. Can I bring two rifles?

On a side note, send me an e-mail about prize table goodies. I might be able to gather some stuff together.

This match is cancelled due to personal/family reasons. I apologize guys, but I just can't do it.

The clubs monthly 3 gun match is on sunday, please support those guys.

Re: DMR/SPR rifle match in Phoenix

Mark P from our club is going to take the match and run it. He is an awesome guy and knows his stuff. It will be a good match. Thanks Mark!!
