Rifle Scopes Scope selection for a Nemesis Vanquish in .308

Need opinions on the following 2 scopes for use on a Nemesis Vanquish .308:
Swarovski Z3 4-12x50 BT
Zeiss Conquest 4.5-14x44 SF MC

All thoughts and opinions welcomed

I am curious why not choose some of the more conventional scopes in that price point?

I'm thinking of the Vortex PST scopes, SWFA SS 5-20x50 non-illumniated, Bushnell HDMR w/G2 Reticle, etc. Add a GDI detachable scope base or the AADmount rings.

I am still impressed by the nemisis rifles and am sure you will enjoy yours. It seems like a more than capable rifle, and should have an optic that matches it's capabilities. The two you listed may be just fine, but the more run of the mill tactical scopes have been ran hard by like minded precision shooters and they seem to do well with ample reviews having been written so they are hardly an unknown comodity.

I have to agree with Rockfish. If you are willing to keep an open mind there are other scopes that may fit the bill better. Take a look at the HDMR. Good value, mag range, and a very friendly reticle.

Many thanks for your sage advice.
The reason I thought of the two listed scope is that I have a Savage 110 BA and a Sako TRG-42 in .338 Lapua Mag, both with a Nightforce NXS2256 scopes and Barrett BORS mounted and two Remington 700s (7mm Mag & .270 Win) rifles with Leupolds and a LWRC REPR .308 with a Burris Tac 30, 6.5- 20 X 50. I do not have either of the two scopes listed so I thought I would try one of the two on the new rifle. I will also look at the HDMR and SWFA 5-20 as you have suggested. Hopefully the Nemesis will be delivered by the end of this month so we will make a scope selection and report back on the results.

It has taken some time but our Vanquish was finally shipped to our FFL, Bolsa Gunsmithing. We signed the DROS and should be able to pick up the rifle on 9/8/12. After much back and forth looking through different scopes with different reticles, we selected the Swarovski Z5 3.5-18x44 BT-4W Reticle with the Ballistic Turret. I was impressed with the clarity of the scope plus the ease of range adjustment. We should be able to get to the range by the week of September 9th to do the break in.

which scope mount did you pick? I have a Nemesis but still have not pick a scope and mount.

the scope mount will be selected by Jason, our gunsmith at Bolsa Gunsmithing in Westminster. He will choose the mount best suited for the Z5.

I went with a hensoldt 6-24 and a spuhr mount. couldn't be more pleased.
