1-10x26 Eliminator IOR or 1.8-10x37 USO?

This will be going on an AR15 build SDM setup. Will be using it to shoot steel out to 700 yards. I like the dot in the IOR's reticle but dislike only 1 mil hash marks. Wish the objective of the IOR was larger. I like the illumination option on the IOR.

What do you guys think?

Re: IOR vs USO

I'm not following with the 1 MIL hash marks? I see .1 MIL marks.

The USO will likely be heavier. That said, I wouldn't trade my 1.8-10X37 for the IOR.

Depends on what you really want out of the scope. Either one can do the job, but which one does it best is more up to the user and their expectations.

Re: IOR vs USO

I would have liked to see half mil marks in the reticle of the IOR.

. Send me a pm and I'll give you a good price on one.

Just in case you don't know, I don't use any other scopes but USO.

Totally agree - had both, USO all the way.

Re: IOR vs USO

I would take the USO in a heartbeat. A friend has the IOR, and while it is a fine scope, I don't think it stands up to my 1.8-10. I have the JNG reticle in mine and the illumination on it flat out blows away every other illuminated reticle I own. Try to get behind both if at all possible.

Oh yeah, talk to Lazy when you decide to get the USO.

Re: IOR vs USO

well. if you want to pound nails with your scope and wait a few months to get it, go with the USO, fantastic quality and US made but if you want to go shoot in a week get the IOR an get used to the reticule, made in Romania with great German glass.
hope this helps but I doubt it.

Re: IOR vs USO

It is a hard choice. The only thing I wish the IOR had was an larger objective.

Re: IOR vs USO

I have an IOR 2.5 - 10 x 42, and its really really nice glass. I don't have a USO (yet) but when looking at a long range optic didn't consider the IOR compared to the USO. I had my Sightron 4-16x42 on another rifle, and tried using it to spot my son shooting the IOR and I was amazed how awful it seemed after looking through the IOR. Even wiht lower magnification, it was much easier to see hits at 300 with the IOR than the (little) higher magnification on the Sightron.

yup. IOR has very nice clarity, but every one I've had (execpt the old M2's) went tits up, becoming a great way to clearly see your shots go all over the place.....

The 1.8-10X37 is an awesome DMR scope.
