Re: 6.5 suppressors

I'm waiting on my SDN-6 for a .300BLK, 7.62, 5.56 and 6.5G. I understand you can't run subs in 6.5G, at least through a semi, but you can eliminate some of the blast. Since you can only run supers in it, I figured the SDN-6 and a handful of Blackout mounts would be the way to go to begin with. From what I'm told, the only difference between dedicated 5.56, 6.5 and 6.8 cans compared to 7.62 cans is the tone (AAC cans, the SDN-6 vs. the M4-2000). I hear it is deeper? The difference in dB's isn't enough you that you can tell combined with the tone change. This is what I've read, I can't tell you from experience yet.

The Blackout flash hider is awesome btw. Never seen one work as good as that one, it is excellent. The Brakeout is okay, it is about as good as a decent brake and a decent flash hider combined like they say, but not truly excellent at either. My wife got it by mistake, but hey, it is different and I kind of like it now on the M4.

I filled out my papers in January, guy says it should be any day now. As soon as it gets here, I'm gonna go ahead and just start the rest I want. I'd like to use 'em before I die of old age.

Got the 220gr. subs for the AAC .300BLK upper ready to go... Cannot WAIT to try that out! I'll try it on the others for sure, that is why I got the mounts, but the .300BLK w/subs and the SDN-6 are supposed to be a match made in heaven.

Oh, I'll be using this can on all semi's. I'd suppose if you have a bolt and want more accuracy (or even a semi and want more accuracy I guess) a dedicated thread on would be more ideal for sure. AAC makes some good ones for that too. The SDN-6 shines because I can use it on a bunch of different rifles with different threading due to the mount, as well as being a well built suppressor.

Re: 6.5 suppressors

I have a couple of 6.8spc cans that work well in a 6.5 Grendel or a 6.5 Creedmoor, but I wouldnt do it again with all the excellent 30 cal cans out there AAC 6.8 SPR and Surefire 6.8AR

I went with a 30 BA this year and am very happy with it on my .260.

im lookign at using it on a 6.5 creedmoor on a ruger 77 mark II target, so should i go with a threaded one? like the cyclone from AAC?

Re: 6.5 suppressors

I've bought caliber specific cans before and would recommend not doing that. Buy a .30 cal that can be used on alot of host weapons. Much more bang for teh buck.

Re: 6.5 suppressors

I have the 762-sd-n6 for my 6.5 but recently ordered the tbac 30-ba to use on my 6.5 grendel, 243 wssm, and 300wm

Re: 6.5 suppressors

I have used a 30ba, 30p, and SF762SS. TBAC preformed the neat, soundmreduction, poi shift, zero, and easy host changing

Re: 6.5 suppressors

I have 2 of the 7.62 SDNs, and we use them on 308 and 6.5 CM. I have 5 host rifles and the cans work good on 3 of the mounts, this after an additionl 335 dollars spent to make everything fit right.
To get past this problem, I ordered a TB 30P-1 Wed. of this week.

The wait starts all over again!
