Really love my 2 stage Anschutz trigger. How does the CG trigger compare? Anyone using one? Wanting it for my fclass build

Re: CG Trigger

My CG is really good. Best I've shot. Except for my Anschutz's. Then again, I wouldn't want my trigger on my centerfires that light.

Re: CG Trigger

Once you get them set up properly, they are second to none.

If you do not have access to someone who knows how to adjust one, then I suggest you take your time to really study the trigger while setting it up. Take a look at german salazar's in depth article about the cg...and take your time. Also, Tom Myers is a fantastic resource if you have questions.

If you are mechanically inclined then you will have no problems if you take your time. If you are not...

If you like a smooth easily and totally adjustable 2 stage with a defined and crisp second stage you will love it. if you are expecting a huber or aw, it is not.

Only time will tell as to reliability as I only recently switched. As far as "feel", imo they are a great 2 stage.

Re: CG Trigger

It is not a plug and play trigger. You will have to adjust it for your rifle and to your preferences.

Re: CG Trigger

Don't be intimidated. If you can follow instructions and turn a screwdriver, you'll be fine.

That's a link to the article referenced 5 posts up.

Re: CG Trigger

They are good to go. Tom is always working to improve them. Some issues that are being fixed...

Short Trigger shoe in the FN SPR, not enough trigger shoe protruding down into the trigger guard area. Remington 700 CG-22 trigger shoes can be installed to fix this.

Long trigger shoe on the Rem 700. On some Rem 700's, the trigger shoe tip can end up touching the bottom of the trigger guard depending on how much single stage you have adjusted. Tom is making shorter trigger shoes to fix that now.

Good triggers, they are extremely tough.

Re: CG Trigger

They are wonderful triggers, but an AI trigger they are not. Keep in mind the Huber is a set trigger more than a two stage. When you take up the slack on the Huber, it sits on the break point and will not return to full travel unless the bolt is recocked. The CG is a true two stage. Both are great triggers, but the AI triggers trumps them both.
