I have 2 Manners stocks with side flush cups. Is there a way to modify them to limit the amount of rotation of the qd cup? My slings get wrapped up and twisted as the qd rotatesin the hole.

Re: Flush cups on Manners Stock

You would have to change out the cups to the kind that have "stops" machined in the grooves that won't allow the swivels to twist all the way around.

That's about the only way you're going to get what you want.

Re: Flush cups on Manners Stock

Do a lot of people have this problem? For example, a Biathlon sling, getting all tangled up with cups that twist 360 degrees? I only ask because im in the process of adding flush cups to my stock

Re: Flush cups on Manners Stock

I have no issue with my TAB Biathlon sling but my regular TAB sling will twist and can be a pain sometimes. How hard is it to change the cups and who makes them (preferably made in the USA)?

I added grovetec cups to my stock and I don't think I've ever uncased my rifle without having to dick with the sling. It's not a big deal, but I wish I would have been able to find anti rotation sockets when I decided to do it. I think I might eventually try a little dab of JB weld in the detent groove to limit the rotation.

I personally never found a Hugh need for a stop but after messing around with some from badger it is a pretty good idea. The one that we have in the works will give you about 50degs of rotation and uses one internal stop. Since the sling loops have 4 detent balls set at every 90degress you will bsicly have 4 positions. If you guys see a need for this I will push this through. Thank you

Re: Flush cups on Manners Stock

Stops are a must have if you run pouches on your gear and are moving....twisted slings are a pain in the ass.

Re: Flush cups on Manners Stock

Mr. Manners please push this through especially if it is something that can be retrofitted to existing stocks. I currently have 3 T4-A stocks counting the one I will be picking up from you on Monday. Thanks for the patch by the way.

Re: Flush cups on Manners Stock

This sounds awesome. If it is a reality then I would love to have the stock being built now (manners TF4) be upgraded to this. Love the stocks Tom.

Re: Flush cups on Manners Stock

I have had my manners for a little over 4 months now and have used my sling 2 or 3 times and I must say it can become a pain when it is all twisted up so the stops would be a fantastic idea.

Re: Flush cups on Manners Stock

Same here. I hope he goes ahead with them. <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: Strazz</div><div class="ubbcode-body">If these are DIY upgrade I'd be very interested. </div></div>

Re: Flush cups on Manners Stock

I've been wishing for these for years. I hope this project comes through! Will it be possible to retrofit?

Re: Flush cups on Manners Stock

Im gonna call them tomorrow and ask where this is. I am ready to place my order for a stock but REALLY want the limited spin cups. Hopefully they can add them.

I'll update with what they say.

Called and placed my order for a stock today. I asked about the limited rotation flush cups and Tom said he was waiting on a call back from his supplier to find out if they can offer them for sure or not. I got marked down to get them if so.

Thanks for the update number9.

Not a 100% sure on cost, but they should be close to the current if not the same. I will get some pics up, in a week or so. Thank you

Re: Flush cups on Manners Stock

Tom,

Can these be retrofitted? I have 3 of your stocks and would love it if so.
Thanks!

Thanks! </div></div>Hi, Iam not sure till we get them in, i want to run some first, but I don't think it will be a problem. They are basically the same cup and reguire the same inlet. The only difference is that have 4 holes to stop the swivel. I see that there is another thread over in the rifles section that Terry from KMW started, he did a good job of explaining how they will work. If the install time is the same, they will become standard option. Thank you

Re: Flush cups on Manners Stock

Will these new cups be able to replace the cups I already have on my three stocks? If so is it going to be something I can do myself or do I need to send the stocks in to you to have it done? Thank you again Mr. Manners for doing this.

Re: Flush cups on Manners Stock

You can easily add stops to regular cups. A small dab of epoxy in the groove will achieve the same thing, and typically last quite a while before coming undone.

As so as I get them I will post. Thank you

Re: non rotating flush cups

Just a quick update. We got some of the new cups in about 3 weeks ago. Although the new cups looked good, we decided that they were not the right choice for us, so we had to switch gears and come up with another option. Below is a picture of the new non-rotating cups that we will be offering. These are two that I pulled out of the first batch after heat-treat, before they got shipped to be parked. They have the same basic apparance as the current cups, but they have two internal stops. These stops allow the swivel to be installed at 4 different positions, once installed you have about 40 to 45 degrees of rotation before it hits a stop. We should have the rest of the parts back by the end of next week with our web page/stock builder updated with this option by then also. Thank you very much,

Re: non rotating flush cups

That's great to see, I have a stock it in the works that should be nearing the end sometime towards the end of this month so they are here just in time.

Thanks for all the great products and support that y'all put out.|

Re: non rotating flush cups

In order to get these installed into existing stocks will we have to send our stocks in or is this something we can do ourself at home?

The original cups along with the new ones, where never designed to be removed. It can be done but we usually do not recommend it. When we do them in the shop we have a special tool that heats up the cups for removal. Even then, some come out easy and some don't. If you want to do them on your own, give me a buzz and I will walk you through it. Thank you

Re: non rotating flush cups

I would much rather send them in. I trust you and you crew a lot more than I would trust myself. How much for the swap and what would the turn around time be for 2 or 3 stocks?
