In the Nightmares of Ghogs
To start after the olympics, but figured it would come up here. I laughed when I saw the preview because a friend and I were just talking the other day how so many folks get called "atheletes" that well anyways...

Re: Stars earn stripes

Saw the previews, looks a little interesting, checked the webpage, all are "stars" of some sorts, cept for Todd Palin, and all are playing for a service related cherity, cept for Todd again (at least I think) who is playing for the "Armed Services YMCA of Alaska" which would be like playing for a gold medal at the special olympics

Yay, let's play dress up and run around 'n stuff and think we're just like soldiers! wee!

Re: Stars earn stripes

Just from what I can tell from the commercials that I have seen, it looks more gay than two boys holding hands in the woods and whispering into each others ears.

Re: Stars earn stripes

I retract my previous statement as I did a little more research and found that it provides for charity. If you go to the website the charities are listed. I may not like the idea but if money gets the the charities listed I will be happy.

Re: Stars earn stripes

if it brings support to our troops and charities while being entertaining AKA explosions, gunfire and military equipment I am all for it but if it has any kind of drama like sons of guns and the other bad gunsmoke show, I'll pass.

Re: Stars earn stripes

it's not as bad as the other "reality" shows.

would appreciate less muzzle sweeps from the celebs, but all in all i thought it was pretty good, and the celebs actually have to have skills.

a little hollywood magic here in there, but not overwhelmingly lame.

i actually like it a bit better than top shot as there is more physical demands and tactics involved - worth a watch.

plus the chosen warfighter charities get $20,000 if a celeb is eliminated or $100,000 at the end of the series.
