You have every reason to be.

No I do not own one, but I have had the chance to look through one and was very impressed.

Congratulations!

Re: I got it!! YAY

I also want to say thank you to Alex at Eurooptic....

Re: I got it!! YAY

its funny in the manual the last thing it says "Avoid dry rubbing on the outside optical surfaces, this may harm the precious coatings"

Dry rubbing any coated lens is not a good idea. I wouldn't even do it to my rear view mirror in my car, how in the hell would I do it to $3600 GLASS!

I don't even dry spank my monkey!

Showing your newbness again with what you think is making a a point from the other thread. It doesn't say don't clean it. Just don't dry rub. Different things completely. Nice try.

Re: I got it!! YAY

Rob- perhaps he was commenting on the "precious coatings" and not about cleaning at all??

Can't wait for that!!

What rifles are you mounting the scopes on?

Re: I got it!! YAY

Yep EO had one ready to ship and I wasn't picky about the reticle the P4 FEIN looks fine and dandy to me.

The Schmidt P4 Fine

Re: I got it!! YAY

I am already in love with it! Just holding in your hand gives an instant boner. You can just tell the quality in it how the dials and knobs feel I believe it's in a league all in it's own. I just can't wait to do the comparison and a possible write-up..Bender VS Zeiss

Re: I got it!! YAY

I'd slow down on the praise, you've had some very good scopes peter out on you real quick.

It is a pretty color though.

Re: I got it!! YAY

Put it on your rifle already and stop finger fucking it to death. And don't ever use " YAY" on this forum again.

Re: I got it!! YAY

Strange how things slowed down when the optic arrived, for me it is usually the opposite: I have more to say once I have hands on the glass.

He's busy finding out what a mil is before giving us his write up of the scope. Sure it will be informative

Re: I got it!! YAY

Sure looks like the old boy is spending some money to not know the basics. I'd hate to think I spent thousands without knowing what I was buying...

I thought the same thing when I read about the "review". Lol the same guy that told us we were stupid for cleaning a lens off is going to tell everyone which $3500 scope the should buy.

" And don't ever use "YAY" on this forum again " LMAO.....

Re: I got it!! YAY

For my edification, dude spent almost 4K on this scope and can't define a mil, and he's going to be reviewing scopes?

Also, what is this guy above me selling?

In the classifieds, a gentleman made a post railing on LL for not being able to sell raffle tickets.

Uncanny threads these days...it's a good thing there's no constraint on bandwidth! {sarcasm off}

Re: I got it!! YAY

you got to start somewhere right? My Grandfather told me once, "Always buy the best of what you can get, even if you can barely afford it" it only saves you money in the long run.. It doesn't matter what anyone thinks about me, I'm no socialist, conformist! The "tunnelling" on the Schmidt is a little more than what I would like. But the design is as close to perfect as you can get.

People aren't giving you a hard time because you are buying the best you can afford, but because you're trying to give an opinion on product X and product Y, giving a "write-up" and you don't know your ass from a hole in the ground about the products you're reviewing.

I may not know units of measurements but I know optics, I've been doing astronomy for years. [img:center]

Gappa, can you mil the moon and give me the distance in yards?

Re: I got it!! YAY

Gappa, I cannot tell if you are missing the point intentionally or not.

Your grandfather was right, but he failed to clarify one point: don't buy shit because it is expensive.

All the scopes you have found issue with are great scopes (3 Premiers and an S&B are prizes for any good shooter), and the problems have been repairable or relatively inconsequential.

I don't think you know what a scope should do well - or how.

My advice: buy the Vortex, take an introductory class from a reputable training group on basic rifle marksmanship and use of rifle optics. What you've dropped on optics in the past 2 months will more than cover a great class - and the knowledge will be infinitely more valuable than an S&B that you cannot use correctly.

Short of that, sell the rifles, buy no more scopes, practice allot with a bow or a sword or something else.

I think the issues I have had with some of the scopes that have been in my hands recently are legitimate.
1 Leupold with canted reticle
2 Leupold with canted reticle and blurry past 10x
3 Premier Light Tactical with oil splashed all over the inside!
4 Premier Light tactical with oil and debris all over the inside.
These were all brand new scopes!!

Re: I got it!! YAY

BTW anything good just flat costs money! You can't expect to spend $200 and get a world class optic!.. Right?
unless you find a countersniper contract overrun.

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: JSF</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Gappa, can you mil the moon and give me the distance in yards? </div></div>

YES I CAN!
The moon is 250k miles or 2 mils 1/4 past DEEEZ NUUTZ...
damn i'm good i got it all figgered out

No 1 mil of 250k miles would be 250 miles right 1/1000 of 250k miles... right? Then convert 250 miles into yards..
