Gappa, I cannot tell if you are missing the point intentionally or not.
Your grandfather was right, but he failed to clarify one point: don't buy shit because it is expensive.
All the scopes you have found issue with are great scopes (3 Premiers and an S&B are prizes for any good shooter), and the problems have been repairable or relatively inconsequential.
I don't think you know what a scope should do well - or how.
My advice: buy the Vortex, take an introductory class from a reputable training group on basic rifle marksmanship and use of rifle optics. What you've dropped on optics in the past 2 months will more than cover a great class - and the knowledge will be infinitely more valuable than an S&B that you cannot use correctly.
Short of that, sell the rifles, buy no more scopes, practice allot with a bow or a sword or something else.
