Ok, so I used to have a friend load handloads for me, but now he is moving to Texas. I was just wondering what the best factory 7mmRM ammo was, so I could have a placeholder until I have the money for my own reloading setup. I would guess that Black Hills 162 A-max would be up there, but I just don't know enough to make any major purchases on anything. Any and all recommendations are very much appreciated.

Blackhills or HSM Ammo with 168 Berger VLD's, I had better luck with the HSM. Try both at 100 and see

Man... at $40 a box I may just take a break until I can get my reloading bench set up. Actually that won't work, I would probably get withdrawals

I can afford to buy my 7mm ammo, but to me it is one of those calibers that if I did not reload it, I would not shoot it. I would save your money, 5 boxes of shells worth of money and you could be reloading, too.

$40 a box and you are complaining? The friggin Gander Mountain by me wants $70 a box. One of the many reasons I will not spend a nickel there. 7 mike mike is one of several reasons why I invested in a reloading setup.
For the time being, by the privi from palmeto state (cheapest 7mm i have found)
Shoot it, and look at your groups. That should motivate you to start loading for yourself............
