Well finally time to officially say HI to everyone here! I've Been Roaming this site for a long time now, but never posted any of my rifles. Partially because I've been trying to save up and getting everything put together and completed. It's been a long and hard journey, but I've enjoyed every step of the way. Along the way, I've made mistakes, took some wrong turns, and wasted some $$$ at times. But thanks to the Hide and all the Helpful members I've learned so much and kept on path for what will be my most treasured Experience and ultimately some of my most prized possessions.

However, this is by no means the end for me. Thanks to this site this has became my addiction! So far none of my rifles are full on custom or High End Rifles. I've only been purchasing factory guns and modifying them whenever and wherever I can, partially due to not able to stay focused on saving up for One High End Rifle. Instead my funds were divided amongst different setups and calibers. Maybe one day I'll finally set my mind on a high end rig and stay focus enough to accomplish that dream

For now, I am honored to share with everyone several of my completed and satisfying rigs. Hope you all will enjoy the pictures and share my Joy and Happiness as well. Please feel free to Comment, Critique, and make any suggestions. Thank you all, and God Bless!

First 5 Shot Group after installing the KRG W3 Chassis. It was a short Range Session and Tried to get all the Rifles Zeroed before time ran out. Only had the chance to do One Group, but Definitely Impressed!!!

These are some typical 3 Shots and 5 Shots Groups with this rifle. I don't reload so I use Federal Gold Match 168 GR BTHPs. So far it has treated me well. With this kind of Hobby I really should learn how to reload soon...

Re: SH Addicition! My Rigs,Tikka & Rem700s! Pic Heavy!

Last but Definitely NOT Least. This is my Very First Bolt Action Rifle EVER. It started life as ran of the mill Remington SPS Sport Hunter .308 win. I quickly rid of the Factory barrel in place of a Shilen Select Match .260 Remington Barrel. At the time this was my One and Only Bolt Gun. You can just imagine how expensive and how suck it was to shoot feed this rifle. But it's a Laser!!!

Remington 700 Short Action
Shilen Select Match .260 Remington Barrel
Factory Trigger to 3 lbs
Weaver Tactical 20 MOA Base
Seekins 34mm Low Rings
Bushnell HDMR 3.5-21 x 50mm (G2 Reticle)
Manners T4A Stock (OD Green) with Badger Mini Chassis
Alpha Type 2 Mags
KRG Bolt Lift (OD Green Matching Stock)

Ok, I ain't going to Lie. This group is shot at the 50 Yard Range. I had to get all of the rifles Zeroed before they closed the Range, so I only had time for the 50 Yard Range for this one. But this is still impressive none the less. The 3 outside shots were used to Zero the Scope, the rest 17 Shots All Ended up in ONE HOLE! And the best part was how EASY it was to make this Happen. I have NO Doubt this Rifle will perform Equally Well at 100 Yards and Beyond NO Problems.

Well thats it for now, Thanks for Sharing my Joy and Happiness!!!

Thanks for the kind words! I have to say, the Tikka was Beyond Expectations! I love it so much I bought another one in .223 Rem for my Lady too, and it's just as accurate and fun to shoot! The HDMR with the G2 Reticle is Fantastic piece of Glass and Equipment. Very user friendly and convenient for multiple distance shots. I highly recommend it to anyone whoes interested in Tactical Competition Shootings!

It's a VooDoo Tactical Shooting Mat. Very Compact and Comfortable. Rolls up nicely and the price was pretty reasonable too. I bought 2 of these when it first came out which was like $27 from Cheaper Than Dirt.

Do you know a rough weight on the Tikka setup?

Thanks!

Patrick,

Just checked the rilfe on the bathroom scale. It reads 14 lbs exact with my Bushnell Scope/Harris S Bipod/5 Rd AICS Empty. I'm planning on a Accushot Monopod next which might add another Pond or less. So fully loaded it'll be about 15 lbs rifle. Not bad, but definitely not feather weight either. KRG did a Fantastic Job keep the Chassis' weight down though. Hope this helps!

Re: SH Addicition! My Rigs,Tikka & Rem700s! Pic Heavy!

Thanks for the weight, that makes me want to build something like it even more!

Tyler! What's going on Bro! I Love the G2 Ret in my Bushnell! I've also noticed that you've taken our requests into consideration when you filmed the Newer GAP Videos and indicated G2 Ret Hold Overs on your shots! Thanks so much for that Bro! It's been a Great Help! Keep up the Great Work with the Videos Bro. I've watched ALL of them Over and Over and still has my eyes and heart set on that Hospitaller. One day...

P.S. In the Lastest Video you posted for the GAP 10...That rifle Looked HUGE when you held it against your shoulder! LOL...Man, it looked like a Barret .50 Cal with you holding it!!!

Hahahahaha...Dude that's pretty funny! Yea, you've noticed it! The setting of the photo are actually in my Back Yard. I tried to make it not look so Obvious...It's a long story with the Yard. This year is extremely Hot and Dry in Texas. I've been lazy and slacking with the Yard work too. I've kept up the Front Yard, but the back yard had so much weed I just gave up on it. When it cools off later on I'm going to tilt it and put all new Grass. For now though it seems to be pretty good sitting for these types of gigs. LOL

Haha, I love the looks and reputations of the USOs...If only I was Banking Hard with a Better Job. Right now I can only get the best I can with what I have. So far I'm pretty happy with my setups. I just can't justify spending That kind of Coins on a Scope that's almost twice as much as what the gun costs. LOL

Re: SH Addicition! My Rigs,Tikka & Rem700s! Pic Heavy!

All are very nice. Thanks for sharing.

Where do you shoot? I go to quail creek when my time is limited. Only 100, but it is convenient. I go to Parker county with some friends 7-8 times a year. Still limited to 250.

If you are serious about reloading, read the stickies in the reloading forum. Then if you want, you are welcome to come over and I will show you what I know. It is addictive, and you will not shoot any cheaper, but you can shoot more often.

Thanks so much for the Offer Bro! I'd Love to get together sometimes. I've been mainly going to the Range by myself and sometimes with my Lady. I've been thinking about looking up some local guys on the Hide to go shoot together. It'll be more fun to share the same passion.

I've been to Quail Creek a couple of times (A bit out of the way form me), but a buddy of mine lives near there. I mainly goes to Elmfork Near Dallas to use their 100 Yard Ranges. I've sent you a PM with my contact info maybe one of these days we can meetup and shoot together. Thanks for the offer!

Re: SH Addicition! My Rigs,Tikka & Rem700s! Pic Heavy!

Your initial post reminded me of myself 100% to the T. SH addiction - check. Rifle ADHD - check. Can't stay focused on one project - check. Have several unfinished projects laying around - check. Almost finished with one and then start the next - check...

Here's my first one - I finally finished it... Can't wait until I can finance 3!!! But I'm a college kid on a strict budget. Usually a new project means out with the old. It seems like just when I finished this build, I already had my eye on the next. For now, I've still got it

Here's my build specs:
<ul style="list-style-type: disc">[*]Remington 700 Police [*]Action Blueprinted by Larry Racine[*]Barrel cut to 24" and threaded 5/8-24"[*]Holland muzzle break[*]Cerakoted barreled action flat black[*]Timney trigger[*]AICS 1.5 w/ their new skins - love them![*]Harris Bipod (Atlas came in today - no pics yet)[*]Bipod Pod Lok[*]AI green sling[*]Red Tac ammo carrier system[*]Leupold Mark IV 6.5-20x50mm M1 Mildot[*]Badger Ordinance 20 MOA base[/list]
The only thing I wish I would have done at the onset was have a Krieger heavy barrel installed

I guess you have to leave something to look forward to. I'll shoot this facto barrel until the flutes are gone - then off to get rebarreled.

Dude that is pretty much about RIGHT!!! But man you've got yourself a sweet looking Rig there too! I prefer this type of new AICS Skin much better than the old plain jane factory unit. Although I'm not a big AICS fan, but I'm very partial to Folder Stocks and AICS sets the Standard in that department!

Yea, I've got one too many projects in line and the funds are just not ever going to catch up. The only way to make ends meet and feed the hunger is trading off the rifles. I've had a lot of fun doing these rifles above and definitely learned A LOT. But I tell you what, that Craving is never going to go away. I thought I'd be happy with a Tikka and a 5R and wouldn't want the higher end rifles...but the more I read this site the more I want...I finally decided to just get rid of my current projects and put all the funds towards one single dream (SAKO TRG 22). I don't need all these bolt guns especially in the same caliber. They say Buy Once Cry Once. I think after the Tears Dries up this time I'll still be happy that I made the decision to sell and get my ultimate dream rifle. Good Luck to you bro! You've got great start there too!

Man with the way things are going these days I'd keep that AR and just save up for a Stock. You don't need to spend a fortune on a Top Tier Stock (Unless you have the funds or just wants to), The Bell & Carlson Stocks are GREAT for the Price! Their Lite Tactical A3 "Hook" and M40 Tactical Stocks are GREAT Piece of Gear and only runs about $215 on Stocky Stocks. Check them out and maybe you can save the $$$ for AMMO and Trigger Time instead!

Oh yea, nice touch with the wad of Cash there in the background. I hope you already have plans for them or saving them up for something nice...

Good Luck.
