Rifle Scopes Fixed 10x advice

I'm in the market for a fixed 10x scope. I want mil/mil, side parallax adjustment. The bushnell is out because there is no parallax adjustment at all. The regular supersniper is out because of the rear parallax. The Hawke is out due to it being mil/moa. The millet is out because its GIANT and I quiet honestly HATE the ascetics of it. So I think I've narrowed my choices to the new falcon 10x42(I say new because its now mil/mil and has a new reticle) and the scope I just found last night the super sniper 10x40M mil/mil + Mil-quad.(seriously I feel like I just looked a month ago and the 10x42M was only mil/moa mildot, when did this thing come out?)

I know falcon has kind of a bad rep but I have researched pretty thoroughly and haven't really heard of any failures on the fixed 10s. I LOVE the reticle on the falcon. I also like how it looks slightly more than the SS. I know the SS is bulletproof and now that the side focus model is availibe in mil/mil with the mil-quad reticle I'm very interested in it.

So I guess my question is if I cheap out for the falcon to save 70 bucks will I end up hating myself in the long run. The scope wont get half the abuse you guys put your stuff though so would the falcon hold up well enough to meet my needs with the reticle I prefer, or should I "buy once cry once" and get the super sniper even though I don't like it as much I know I wont have any problems with it and if i do SWFA will make it right.

Last but not least sorry for any errors in my post this is hard as hell to type out on my phone.

Re: Fixed 10x advice

You have pretty much answered your own question is you do the research on Falcon's CS. Also after you start actually using the scope, the rear focus is not a handicap at all. I have used mine for several years, and in a couple of comps. Had just about 600 rounds of 300wsm, and always returned to zero. I have since upgraded to a 5-20, but plan on mounting it on the wife's 243.

Re: Fixed 10x advice

i am very pleased with the new ss 10x mil/mil quad ret
they also make a 12x that would be perfect for comps

Re: Fixed 10x advice

Why would you want a side focus whan you can have rear focus instead?

Re: Fixed 10x advice

I had a 10x side focus SS, no complaints. Sold it for SWFA's newfangled 12x mil/mil and honestly you aren't giving up anything moving to rear focus. Mil quad reticle is very nice. I'd go with the SS over the Falcon. You can even have your side focus..

Re: Fixed 10x advice

Okay I should have specified I had a 450-500 dollar budget. and honestly the need for a side focus is my ocd needing some form of symmetry. SS it is now I'm just curious if I should get the fixed 10 or wait for the specs on whatever variable swfa teased us with in the "falcon vs ss" thread.if its something like a 3-15 in the 5-600 dollar range I could wait and save a little.

But if you have a $450 budget, and don't want the SWFA SS, then save your money.
