Can someone reccomend a good coated rod cleaning kit?

Ideally to include: brushes, patch eylets, and adapters
cheaper the better , but a good value product

NOT A OTIS as it is not a 'rod'

Re: Good coated rod cleaning kit?

I know of no kits. I like the Tipton Carbon Fiber rods and prefer to buy good brushes and jags. Most all kits I've seen are a combo pack o crap.

Re: Good coated rod cleaning kit?

I don't know any kits either, but I like Dewey rods and Montana Extreme rods. Both work well for me.

Re: Good coated rod cleaning kit?

Nice, they have those "gun slick" kits but they look cheapo

Re: Good coated rod cleaning kit?

If no one knows of any "kits" can you also recommend some brushes

Re: Good coated rod cleaning kit?

I have been using Boretech products lately and they are awesome. The rods are the best i've had and the eliminator solution removes copper better than anything i've ever used and has no smell at all.

Re: Good coated rod cleaning kit?

I ruined 2 Dewey rods then I bought a couple Montana Extreme rods to replace them. I was reluctant to pay that much for a cleaning rod, but I have to say they are very nice. The coating seems to be harder and more durable to me. I like the Dewey brushes.

Re: Good coated rod cleaning kit?

I have used a dewey for about 2 years now with no issues. have a tipton as well and its a good rod as well.

Re: Good coated rod cleaning kit?

I use Dewey rods, Brownells brushes and Pro-Shot Products cotton flannel patches. Works great for me.

Re: Good coated rod cleaning kit?

deweys do it for me.

Re: Good coated rod cleaning kit?

I go the Tipton cleaning kit from Midway about 5 or 6 yrs ago then also have one piece Dewey rods. The Midway kit has all jags and bore brushes from .17 up to 45 cal and everything in between. It also has two cleaning rods in it that break down to three pieces. I prefer one piece rods when I'm home but they are good for having when I go to the range for backups. While it costs a little bit, wait for a special at Midway and the discount codes and it's a great value.
