Is anybody out there finding loose primer pockets and/or blown primers in Lake City 10(non-nato)5.56 brass?I know this brass is once fired because it still has the primer crimp in it.I'm seeing about a 28% rejection rate. The ones that pass have good, snug pockets.I've not seen this prevalent in the nato stamped brass.

The headstamp has no nato symbol.Just LC 10.I've also got LC 10 Brass that has the nato symbol and have not had this problem with any of it.

So you are saying a it has a crimped primer that is getting loose? or it has been fired, crimp removed or swaged, and then the primer gets loose? If it is the later than I would say it had the pockets reamed to much.

I've had stuff like that it's usually machine gun fired and totally blown out. Usually get 1x fired rem commercial from Brassman instead.

Too bad all the factory new LC 556 brass has dried up

This is all once fired brass. Some have the primers blown out,but the lip where the crimp was is still there(not cut or swaged). The other cases have been resized(crimp was evident),and I swaged the crimps with a dillon swager.I have had loose pockets on cases that had not even had the pockets cut,but this ain't my first rodeo. I've used a primer pocket uniformer on thousands of cases before with no problems.

I have some lake city 10 ad 09 without the nato stamp.I havent seen any loose pockets.I think that some lots were hotter than others Thus the pockets being blown. The brass i have came from Law enforcement. When they were shooting it it was bad inaccurate. Some of it was hot.

I'd have to agree with this assessment, I had one case out of a few of federal 5.56 I think it was 10 stamped, don't recall 55 or 62, that recoiled noticably stouter, had ejector swipes and rims got bent to hell. Didn't notice loose pockets, but tossed most if not all of it because it wouldn't go into a shellholder.
