Price of an LMT 308 upper

Has anyone seen second-hand prices for a complete LMT MWS 308 monolithic upper with the 16" chrome lined barrel? I've searched around this forum and others and haven't been able to find any info. Any help would be much appreciated!

It will be extremely rare to find someone who will part with their MWS upper. It wouldn't make sense for most people.

Do you have some sort of pre-ban lower?

Yeah I know a guy selling one and was trying to figure out if his price was good. He was asking $1600. The problem is is that I have nothing to check that against besides the new complete rifle price.

I also see the DPMS SASS uppers going for $1200-1300 range. I know they're not the same, but at least its in the ballpark. Im guessing $1600 is about right? I don't know...

R.O.U.S., I picked up a Knights lower a number of years back and have sat on it ever since waiting to build a 308 AR.

I think it is a reasonable price if it is within your budget, and in good condition.

I know of one example where someone paired a Knight's lower and LMT Upper. The take down pins had to be tapped in with a hammer, but functionality was fine.

Where did you buy your SR-25 if you dont mind me asking? I'm thinking of grabbing another one after I finish this build.

How did the LMT upper fit on the SR-25 lower? Did it require any modifications?

I haven't received it yet. Im hoping it comes early next week. It should fit with no problems but we'll see!

Mostly because I already had the SR-25 lower. And because I found a guy with the LMT upper only for sale. Otherwise I would certainly have considered buying the whole rifle as it seems like a great deal. Which barrel do you have?

I have the 16 inch chrome lined. Ive been very happy with the accuracy so far. with a 15 power scope i can hit 4" at 300 yds on my best days with match ammo. I know the rifle is capable of so much better i need to practice!
