I was using mine in f-class with 139 scenars and doing pretty well with it. Then I bought a Savage model 12 f-class rifle in 6mm BR and my scores went up 10 points. First time out with it I shot a 590-21x with an untested load.
I'm not sure why. My TRG is actually seems to be more accurate. Probably better ergonomics for prone shooting off bags and the fact it has a lighter trigger.
Anyway, good luck and let me know how you do. </div></div>
I did poorly today. My first string of 20 I scored 190 with 9 X's. I was happy with that. Then I fell apart; after my second string of 20, my total score ended up being 376 with 10 X's total. It was cooler & overcast during the first string and hot & very sunny for the 2nd string. Note to self: next time I'm going to use my benchrest instead of the bipod and I'm going to get a snap cap and spend time practicing my prone technique. </div></div>
Yea, f-class is harder than it looks. I don't remember prone position being so uncomfortable when I was a teenager hunting ground hogs. Used to lie on the ground for hours without an issue. Not any more.
Were you shooting 600 yd or 1000? Either way, having the right equipment makes a big difference.
