Hello all

[CDP1911]

I hav been lurking on this site for about two years. I have always been a big pistol person however, several years ago I sprung for a Volquartson rim fired rifle. Which by all accounts is a tack driver and its responsible for getting me hooked on long guns.

Reading post here. I have decided to give bolt action LR shooting a try. I have a Savage 110 FCP HS in 300 WM delivering tomorrow and a Remington 700 SPS Tactical in .308 Win supposedly delivering the first part of next week. Have not decided bases or scopes for these yet. Will be reading various threads from the more seasoned members of this forum for a little tutelage.

Hope I get the hang of this stuff. Wish me luck

I love this one particular dealer - received a call that my 110 FCP HS 300 WinMag was in - Swung by to pick it up. When I got there was 700 SPS Tactical on the shelf she did not know she had. She tossed it in the deal at sub $600 bucks.

Not sure what I have gotten myself into. However, me thinks I'ms abouts to have lotsa fun
