Rifle Scopes Where's Weaver?

[Quarter Horse]

A friend bought a Nitrex scope which were made by Weaver. Reputedly Weaver would honor the warranty for the Nitrex. The scope developed a problem so he called Weaver and got an answering machine. Then tried an e-mail and no response. He then called Bushnell (ATK) and they said Weaver was closing their plant and was no longer under the Bushnell umbrella.

Can anyone verify what Weaver's status is and is there a working number where you can talk to a "real person".

Dont know the status, but ATK is the parent company and Weaver, Eagle, Federal are all sections of the Sporting division. Kevin Habhegger is a tech service guy for Weaver, he answered my questions back in Dec, you may try his email [email protected] , I contacted weaver last year about a part issue, got a response form Kevin the next day, and my parts a few days later. Then again that was last year.

Weaver is owned by ATK not Bushnell. Bushnell is owned by Bushnell Outdoor Products. You need to contact ATK.

Hello guys, first post here, I was just looking around and saw a weaver repair post, Don't know if anyone can help or not, I have an older weaver 3x9x40 micro trac, steel scope, I quess its an early 80's era??? It's a nice scope, not as clear as it once was and will not focus, About 10 years ago I sent it to a place in El-Paso Tx., some authorized weaver repair station, anyway it was like $70.00, and was never repaired correctly. I would like to have it fixed and put back on my fathers gun, the way it was when I was younger, Any ideals??? Thanks for any help guys

Ironsight, there is a 9 mo turn around, but at least you know up front. They have the correct parts to do repairs on the Weaver El Paso scopes. http://www.ironsightinc.com/

Weaver is in the midst of a relocation. ATK's Onalaska WI. location where Weaver and a couple other brands were located, was shut down recently to consolidate operations. They are being being relocated to other ATK plants across the U.S. Please be patient with them, they will be back up and running shortly.

Moving never doesn't suck...
