Mega Upper - Good?

Anyone have information on Mega uppers? I posted earlier asking about YHM, and have not seen any replies. This makes me a little leery of going with one. The shop also suggested a Mega upper, but I haven't heard of them either.

Mega makes great products, but unfortunately one of their premiere products- the monolithic (one piece)upper is being discontinued because of a patent dispute. From the "news" on the web, they are coming back soon with a new revised product. My buddy has a Mega AR15 billet upper/lower set and it's awesome....fit and finish is excellent!

My Mega AR15 set looks amazing and super tight! It's the most top notch upper/lower I've ever owned...and I've owned ALOT!

Do you happen to have a link to this news?

That will be a real bummer, as the Mega monolithic upper that I received was machined very well, a pure work of art in my opinion. I liked the tubular version opposed to the railed version as it seemed not to weigh so much and allowed a very nice grip.

Mega is definitely a premier quality product. YHM generally makes very good products as well, but I have a slight preference for Mega's stuff (especially the billet ambidextrous upper/lower set).

mega' specialty is nice matched upper/lower with upgraded finish - for an unmatched set there are many choices for similar/less $$ - a complete BCM upper is tough to beat

Yes, just google it and there's articles on the web about it.....mostly in other gun forums

Mega Machine is one of top notch machine shop that make a lot of lowers and uppers for another brand name. You will not dissappoint with the Mega upper. The link from ar15.com.
