Just what the title says.. I have a aics 1.5 stock on my new 300wsm build and id like to know how to alter the ai mag wich is a 308 mag to feed 300wsm smoothly!

Well, what people I know have done is take out the plastic spacer and open up the feed lips, that should be all.

If you are going to use the AI mag, first thing to do is drill out the spot welds in the front of the mag and remove the METAL spacer. Then have the holes welded closed. this will give you a mag capacity of right at 2.950". Next, you will need to spread the mag lips apart a bit. You can use a set of wide tip pliers, but I prefer to sacrifice a piece of brass and force it back and forth between the mag lips until the spread apart far enough for the rounds to feed.It takes a little trial and error but is not very hard.
Otherwise....buy the alpha or trade the guy who offerred above.
