looking to pic one up for predator hunting/getting into some longer distance shooting. Wouldn't mind purchasing used if the price is right.

i got mine at grice gun shop in PA for 600, they ship i think. bud's gun shop has them for the same price too free shipping i think

I found some .308 SPS tacticals on GB for around $595 shipped and the 223's are a bit cheaper IIRC.

I have an sps tactical in .223.
It is an accurate rifle, but finicky when it comes to ammo.

My Dad's 10FP that he put in a choate varmint stock is much less finicky and will shoot a broad variety of loads into tiny groups.

I am normally a remington guy for a factory gun, but for a rifle like this, I'd go Savage 10PC and not look back.

What did you settle on shooting in the SPS? Mine (223)seems to be a little picky about the ammo. My 308 is not picky
