I'm looking at switching from 180gr Nosler BT (BC .507) over to:

- 190gr Berger VLD (BC .570)
- 200gr Accubond (BC .588)
- 210gr Berger VLD (BC .631)
- 230gr Berger (BC.743)

This will be run out of a Remy 700 Sendero 26" barrel. (Also playing with powders)

Anyone have any suggestions??? from your experience - whether from the above list or not.

Thanks!

very good success, 208amax jumped, 93.0gr H1000 - Rem SPS.

Re: 300 RUM load

My go to load for my last .300 RUM was 208 Amax. Fed215M 93.0 grains Retumbo. I cant recall the COAL. Ill get back to you. I have loads and loads for this cartridge. Out of curiosity, why are you switching from the 180 BT? Within the 1000 yard mark, its hard to beat. Beyond that is where these other bullets shine from my own personal experience.

Re: 300 RUM load

230 Berger or 240 smk would be amazing at distance with the big rum. Retumbo is a go to for the big boomer. You far from whitehorse?

Re: 300 RUM load

210 VLD 90.5 H1000(new), Win LRM, max Mag coal.

We use these primarily for hunting and love them. Very accurate and quick kills. Good luck.
