Hope somebody can guide me the right direction...

Am planning in getting the Bushnell Elite Tactical 3.5-21x50 HDMR G2DMR reticle

but don't know which rings will be the best setup.

I already ordered a 20moa base...

I would also like to know which is the best setup for a mini-reddot.

Hope to see some great tips...

Thx all for your replies...

Re: Best rings for 34mm ?

I didn't know about them...

They look totally cool... i surpriced about the price tags.

Should i focus on separte rings or mount rings ?

Its gonna fit on my AICS AX 2.0 stock.

Thx all...

Re: Best rings for 34mm ?

Let's see.... There is Badger, then there is Badger, Oh yeah.. there is also Badger. Don't mess around, get the 1.125 Badgers and you will love them on the AICS. Exactly what I have for my HDMR. (on an AICS). Anything else pales in comparison. Remember that HDMR is a pretty big glass and you want stout rings and a good base. By the way - love the fact you are in Denmark. Most of my family are Danes, Father was born there and Mother's father was too. Need to get over there some day and visit the extended family!

Re: Best rings for 34mm ?

I hear good things about bobro, especially for an AICS.

Re: Best rings for 34mm ?

You are half viking then =)

Yeah its nice over here but too many gun laws =(

Give a shout when u visit DK and i will show you our boring shooting range. Its nothing compare to the US.

Isn't the 1.125 gonna be high ? I thought scopes must be low as possible ?

I was actually considering these: http://www.seekinsprecision.com/scope-ring.html

but i couldn't find any mini-dot attachment to go on the top.

Is Badger really that good ?

@madkap.. first time hearing about bobro... Will check them out.

thx.

Re: Best rings for 34mm ?

Seekins are an excellent choice. I use them to attach my 5-25 S&Bs to my rifles and never had any problems. Have also used Badgers and they worked as well but cost more. Both. Ever let any of my heavy scopes slip even on heavy recoiling rifles.

1" height should work fine on the 50mm objective. It's what I use on my 56mm objectives with butler creek caps on and still have room.

Is the rifle going to be used for CQB? Just wondering the need for a mini dot.

Re: Best rings for 34mm ?

I had 34mm 1" Badgers and they were two low with 56MM objective of Premier on my new rifle. So I ended up buying US Optics rings the 1.350" as I recall. I have AICS chassis and have found it much more comfortable with such an adjustable comb to have scope mounted higher. Quality of fit and finish or US Optics rings seems better than the Badger rings I have had. I have to say I like rings better as I feel they give more adjustability of scope and allow room for Holland bubble in right place for each shooter.

Re: Best rings for 34mm ?

I'm using Seekins and Badger and they are both excellent.

Re: Best rings for 34mm ?

Here's a pic of my newest set up with a M24/40 contour barrel and Surgeon 591 with integral 20 MOA base. It's a S&B5-25x56 in Seekins 1" height rings. You can see there is room with even the Butler Creeks on there. Also I use the same height with my Rem 700 and 20 MOA bases.

Re: Best rings for 34mm ?

I just ordered Seekins 1" rings for my Bushy HDMR and rifle, my Badger 1 piece is way too high.

This thread just reinforced my purchase, thanks.

Re: Best rings for 34mm ?

If you'd like a pair of rings that are designed from the ground up to perform optimally for complete recoil-resistance, non-damaging to the scope's internals or finish and have a proven, demonstrable, return to zero then please contact me.

Re: Best rings for 34mm ?

I like my Badger USMC rings, and I love my 30mm Seekins, had I to do it over again 34mm Seekins be my choice.

Re: Best rings for 34mm ?

I prefer the SPUHR 1-piece mounts and their separate rings, massive, overbuilt, rock-solid and still light weight and stupid simple to set up.

Re: Best rings for 34mm ?

Ronin

Please check up the various manufacturers webpages for what possibilitys each mount have. As you are asking for reddot mount possibilitys that is certainly an important feature.
The Spuhr mount is unlike all others not just a mount but a big mountingsystem.
Here is the general information for the Spuhr mount:

Ps. Hvor bor du? Jeg er halvt dansk self og bor på annen siden av broen

Re: Best rings for 34mm ?

You would also do yourself a favor by looking at the near manufactoring Alpha mount. I use Seekins on alot of my stuff but there is nothing more bomb proof then the alpha mount.

I can attest to what this man is saying.

American Rifle Co rings are the best Ive ever used.

Re: Best rings for 34mm ?

I also use Seekin rings on my 4-16 Henny. Can't go wrong with the Badgers either.Another very good set is the Talley Tactical,I don't know why they are always over looked but are also excellent!

Re: Best rings for 34mm ?

Seekins are extremely beefy and precisely machined....I love them.

Re: Best rings for 34mm ?

send-it

What height rings and base are you running with the HDMR?

I need to order a set for my new 700.

Re: Best rings for 34mm ?

I have a set of 34mm rings and 20moa base from Murphy Precision. Cameron made them to my specs and got them to me in a few weeks. I can't say enough about the quality of the machine work! They keep the weight down by not having all the bulk of most "tactical" rings. These are top notch custom rings and bases for the price you are paying for off the self stuff. He makes them in Stainless and Titanium. Give them a look.

Re: Best rings for 34mm ?

The rings are lows at 0.92" with EGW 20 MOA base.
