CLASS: S (6-24x42 Tasco - Target/Varmint)
CALIBER: .22LR
RIFLE: Savage MKII FVT
AMMO: Fed 711B (40 gr - 1080 fps)
SCORE: 243-8x

<span style="color: #FF0000">Most likely this is about the best this particular rifle (with my set up) is going to shoot. Yes, in July I did post a 244-8x with very similar shooting conditions and a different ammo (Aguila Golden Eagle Target). I'm not going to say I'm disappointed in this factory stocked (synthetic stock) MKII FVT rifle as I believe it's a quality rifle for the money and it's given me hours of enjoyment at both 100 & 200 yards. It is no doubt possible that better quality ammo would add a few points to my 100 yard scores, just as a new quality stock would. However, for now in this tough economy I think I'll stick with "budget ammo" and continue to enjoy the game.

Re: SEPT 2012 SH LONG RANGE RIMFIRE COMPETITIONS

i see 15 definate no X's in the first, maybe 11ish no X's in the second.

if you have another target, put it underneath the shot out area (nice BTW), that may help you to get a guestimate of at least what is out of the x, then do the math.

Welcome new shooter to thee matches COOKIE THE SWEDE whom showed up with a good score, taking the top spot in TQ4100YB and tied with TOP PREDATOR in TQ4100YP.

Good luck to all those that will shoot in October.

Re: SEPT 2012 SH LONG RANGE RIMFIRE COMPETITIONS

thanks for the offer (probably would be a good idea to do something like that for all ties)

unfortunately, between hunting season here in Pa., setting up my last smbore silhouette championship trophies, pieces together next year's long range shoots and everything in between, i'm lucky i'll get time to shoot octobers's SH matches.

so i forfeit, the glory is all yours my friend

Re: SEPT 2012 SH LONG RANGE RIMFIRE COMPETITIONS

I am going to be shooting the Oct match.

I havent shot rimfire for about ten years I went and dug my 22 out and the I couldn't find the scope for it, I remember taking it off but I have no idea what I done with it.

So I decided to go find a good cheap scope for my 22 went and jumped on the interweb and looked at an aussie gun sales site and you wouldn't believe it a USO SN3 mil/mil ill gap ret for $1800 so I am just waiting on the post to bring my new 22 scope.

Bought 5000 rds of ammo to get a bit of practice in.

Not to sure how I am going to fit a sn3 to a CZ 452 but Im about to find out.

Thanks Top Predator for taking the time to get the rimfire matches going.
