American Sniper (autobiography of Chris Kyle)

Re: American Sniper (autobiography of Chris Kyle)

Just finished it myself. Good read.

Re: American Sniper (autobiography of Chris Kyle)

I'm about half way through the book myself. I find it to be an easy read as it is written like I would read. Real life perspective.

Re: American Sniper (autobiography of Chris Kyle)

I found the story to be extremely interesting, but the overly-simplistic writing was a big turn-off and actually made the book difficult to read.

Regardless of that criticism, I'd still recommend it.

Re: American Sniper (autobiography of Chris Kyle)

6/10 about how I felt about "repo men". I liked the swagger books better. I know im comparing fiction to non fiction, but I hope you still understand me. (if not, ignore and move along)

Re: American Sniper (autobiography of Chris Kyle)

Just finished this book. Loved it. Great read for sure, couldn't put it down.

Re: American Sniper (autobiography of Chris Kyle)

I picked this book up shortly after it was released and finished it inside of a week.

Interesting story and it reads as if he is talking directly to you. He rambles a bit here and there, but still a great book.

As mentioned earlier, the Swagger books hold your interest, but they are fiction. This is not fiction and has a different feel.

Still, highly recommended.

Re: American Sniper (autobiography of Chris Kyle)

I just finished the mother of all books.

I need some light reading/easy reading to follow that endeavor up. I'll pick it up the next time I'm at Borders.

Re: American Sniper (autobiography of Chris Kyle)

Just finished it a few weeks back. Now I'm reading Lone Survior from Marcus Lutrell, also another very good read.

Re: American Sniper (autobiography of Chris Kyle)

I read it and would say it was a good read. I was suprised to read in another book I read recently (I believe it was Service) that shortly after his retirement he was at a gas station in Dallas and shot and killed two armed individuals that made an attempt at car jacking him. A lady was at another gas pump that witnessed the whole event and called 911. It was also caught on the stations outside video cameras. Guy has been thru some serious shit and those two dipshits fucked with the wrong dude that particular day!!

Re: American Sniper (autobiography of Chris Kyle)

Currently about 3/4 of the way through this one and I have thoroughly enjoyed reading it. I am ready to start Service, No Easy Day, and Fearless (2 of the 3 have come highly recommended).

Re: American Sniper (autobiography of Chris Kyle)

Best book ive ever read, book has so much thought put into it that i feel like me and Mr. Kyle would get along lol .. i even looked on his site at the cost for courses his company offers, not to bad and a variety of places int he US you can take them.

Re: American Sniper (autobiography of Chris Kyle)

Now read “The Red Circle”, authored by Branson Webb, the guy that taught both Chris Kyle and Marcus Luttrell what they know. Training that Marcus credits for keeping him alive.

Re: American Sniper (autobiography of Chris Kyle)

Great book. I have also read both of Luttrels books. I intend to read the Red Circle and No Easy Day and A handful of others.
Well I should rephrase, not read but listened. I buy them off Itunes and listen to them in my car on the way to work helps with the drive (about 45 minutes).

Re: American Sniper (autobiography of Chris Kyle)

So far I've listened to No easy Day, American Sniper, and now I'm about a third of the way through Lone Survivor.

In all honesty, I thought that American Sniper was kinda boring
