Hey guys, or lowlight, I was just curious... so please dont get mad or something... I love this site and use it all the time. I learn a lot here and also buy and sell a good bit with great forum members and love all the great vendors we have here too. But I was thinking it would be soo much easier if lets say, the "firearms" section was split up to handguns and rifles, and then optics, parts, etc or whatever was separated... just different categories. Rather than everything being joined all together. It would make it so much more user friendly. There is just so much traffic, which is great! but sometimes its annoying looking at stocks for sale, high end optics, and camo pants all in the same forum. Im just looking for some input. Thanks alot!

Re: Question/Suggestion on the Equipment Exchange...

You asked for input and my input is that this is not Craigslist/eBay/etc, so deal with it. The for sale area here is a side show and not the main objective on this forum. If the for sale threads are your main focus here, you need to move on.

I have a question for you. Did you read my post or do exactly opposite of what I said to do?

I am clearly not trying to be a dick and this is NOT the only reason I am here. I read constantly on this site and learn A LOT (like I said above) and talk less. I know there are highly educated people on this site with a wealth of knowledge and I have learned a lot from them. The EE is merely a tool I use just like many many many others. So I was curious as to why or I was suggesting that it would be easier for users to operate and navigate better if things were separated. That is all. No offense is implied. I know I have no say in what goes on, I was just trying to be helpful.

I think me meant make it more like AR15.com.

Re: Question/Suggestion on the Equipment Exchange...

The EE is a touchy situation here. Lowlight almost got rid of it from people making complaints and problems with bad sales. Its up to him if he wants to split anything up but I wouldn't think it's needed. We have enough sub sections on this site already.

Riverofguns.com

search for what you want exactly from every single gun forum in one fell swoop.

Re: Question/Suggestion on the Equipment Exchange...

It's a good suggestion/question. Let's be honest, it's those banners on the left and the right that make this site. If people want to see it divided even more and that brings more traffic across this site it would only benefit us. The "so deal with it" attitude is the mantra of the people who think the exact opposite of the "work smarter, not harder" people. "I'd rather dig with my hands then be handed a shovel" kinda attitude. No one is suggesting this turn into douche15.com, so relax but let's not be that guy that can't see beyond the end of his nose and have to make everything hard. Get down to Home Depot and get yourself a lamp so you can lighten the **** up.

Re: Question/Suggestion on the Equipment Exchange...

See that is where you are wrong. It's not the banners on the side that make this site. This site didn't have banners before and could not have them in the future. It has a for sale section now, but if lowlight doesn't want it, they can be gone. You as a poster have no say. If you don't like it, take trip to another site. You are just a number, not on the board of directors. Telling one of the MODS to lighten the fuck up is just an example of why your opinion really doesn't matter. I'm sure you will make a lot of friends here.

Re: Question/Suggestion on the Equipment Exchange...

I wasn't talking to the MOD, I was talking to the guy that said "so deal with it". I never said my opinion means anything, cause it really doesn't I was pointing out the fact it's a good suggestion. If advertising doesn't make this site possible what does? It's a great site but I'm merely saying if enough people want to see that then what does it hurt? I have no problem with what Rob01 said, makes total sense, I just hate to see the people that fear change. So relax. If you don't understand how a business works I'm not going to break it down for you. We aren't the customer here, we're the product. Advertising space is the product. It's just a fact of life. Nothing wrong with that, it's what makes the world go round. What do you think pays for server space? Honestly? Good point about the friends thing though, I didn't come here for that, I came here to learn.
