A few years ago I pick up a used USP 45 from my local gun shop. This has been a very good pistol and one of my favorites. I have easily put 750 down the pipe and I have no idea of the round count prior. After my last range trip I was going through my cleaning routine and noticed the hammer all of the sudden would not lock back with any consistency. After some further manipulation one of two tangs on the sear spring had fallen through my mag well. I have since replaced the sear spring and the pistol seems to work fine, but I am curious if there is a"root cause" I should be looking for. Thanks ins advance for any insight.
