I am currently runnin an Atlas....which I really like but I dont like it during a match, I dont like how long it takes to deploy.

If I wanted to get a Harris, there are a bunch of different models.

Who sells one set up to clamp on a rail just like the Atlas that I can switch back and forth? It seems like the version with the notches is probably the best choice.

Any thoughts?

Re: Harris Bipod question

Triad Tactical has best selection and price. You will definitely want to add the Podloc to it while you're at it. I use the 6-9 inch BRM notched and it suits my needs just fine.

Re: Harris Bipod question

A harris requires a sling stud to attach to, unless you buy an adaptor like the Badger TRAMP:

Re: Harris Bipod question

I got my bipod from Larue, it is the bipod integrated to the mount.

Easy on, easy off

Does it work well or not?

My shooting buddy bought one and doesn't like it.

Just an FYI, the website harrisbipods.com is not owned by Harris's Engineering, that makes the bipods. It's just a company that was able to snatch up the domain name.... Lot of people go there and think they area dealing with the manufacturer.

Is their a website for Harris?

Re: Harris Bipod question

No.

Harris Engineering is an old school company and does not have a web site.

Their contact information is:
Harris Engineering, Inc.
999 Broadway
Barlow, KY 42024
PH: 270-334-3633
Fax: 270-334-3000

They rely on their printed advertisements in magazines and reviews for exposure.

The owner of "Harrisbipods.com" is very happy to enjoy the monetary benefits of the uninformed web visitors.

Re: Harris Bipod question

Lofty I wouldn't use/buy the TRAMP. It doesn't always firmly seat on the rail. When I ordered one for my GAP-10 and tried using it the mount had too much play on the rail and I ended up returning it and getting stuck with a 20% restocking fee and the return shipping.

Nothing.

That business is in Bethlehem, CT. Ultimate Weapon Systems was the original name.
The domain name was not claimed so he purchased it and is actively using it.

They also say that all products listed are 100% made in USA. That is also not true.

Re: Harris Bipod question

I have run both the Larue and the ADM Harris QD adapters. Both work equally well in my opinion.
