Rifle Scopes ehMy lucky day?

While at Dicks sptn.gds. checkin out some ammo I walked ovee
to where the scopes were. I asked to see a Leupold 4-14
that was listed for 499. When he handed it to me I noticed
it was a 6.5-20x40. I then asked if this was the price for this
scope as the tag said otherwise. He then saw that it was
not a 4-14 and said he would scan it to see what price it was actually.
I thought it would be anywhere from $759-$700. Its a Leupold
VX3 6.5-20x40 EFR. I got the scope for $412.00.
I'm thinkin this was a pretty darn good deal. But I've
been wrong before......

Good for you! I had almost the same deal with mine years ago. It was an outdated VX3 6.5-20x50, but not the 'new' "long-range". I got what was almost a $600 list scope for $399.00 out the door. They just had to move inventory, and I was in the right place at the right time.

That is one heck of a good deal. You were right about that scope normally being 700+.

The EFR model is the Extended Focus Range, which is supposed to go all the way down to 10 yards, for people shooting indoor airgun/rimfire.

Cool. Thx guys! I really appreciate the support and good news!
The glass is awesome. My very 1stwell Leupold.
My other scopes are a Vortex PST Viper 6-24x50 FFP
and a Bushnell Elite 10x40.

That's a great deal. Several years ago I purchased a VX-3 4.5-14x40 for my 300 Ultra Mag. The scope cost me $599.00 a little over 6 years ago.

You got a very very very nice deal on that off the shelf/new. Check your butt, you may have a horseshoe lodged up in there

I'll try and put up some pics this evening guys.
My laptop is busted, and I dont really know how from
