Which load to use?

I have about 1K rounds down the pipe of my Krieger barreled Tikka 6.5X47. The rifle was acting strange, so I did some checking and found my lands had move about 10K. I ran some load development and came up with a couple of loads I liked; the strange thing to me is where they ended up. One was jammed 20K and the other jumped 120K, a 140K difference that produced the same results in a 5 shot group @ 100 yards. I shot several groups with these two loads and they were very consistent. (See pic below) I am thinking of staying with the jam because the 120 jump is a compressed load. What do you guys think?

Re: Which load to use?

Tha jam looks a little better and not a compressed load so I would shoot it. Plus it will proably be easier to tell when you need to adjust load again once your throat starts to erode more.

Re: Which load to use?

Are there ever any situations where you'd like to remove chambered rounds? Like in the middle of an F class match where you've chambered a round, you do a final wind check before firing and conditions suddenly have changed from your desired conditions, the barrel's hot, and the round you've chambered is cooking and you want it out? If you've jammed the round, especially with very light neck tension, it's in there.

Re: Which load to use?

I only have a 300 yard range that I can get to before the 1000 yard match on Sunday. I like not having a comptessed load due to varying temps. Soni will give them a go at 300 and see what shakes?
