Got bored today and figured it would be a good day to go and fight the wind.

100y target, top is FGMM 168's slow fired, center is my 175 handload on a rapid bolt string, the bottom is my 208 A-Max load.

300y with the 208's. Too bad just as I was breaking the trigger my phone rang. Of course I had my elbow touching the phone and the vibrations startled me. Owe well still about MOA.

168 FGMM at the 300y line. Not too shabby at all. Wind just came and pushed one a little, but holding 1/2 MOA.

Re: Quick trip to the range today

My biggest problem was near the end of my session. The range I shoot at has a swamp to the W, the wind was coming from the W, but then there is a large berm (30+') to the E where the wind was seemingly going up the berm, curling back and making a downward force. Of course the wind had picked up towards the end of the day which made it more interesting. You never knew if the wind was going to be L to R or U to D.

I did try to get a picture of the deer that came out during a string. I finished my group I was shooting at 300y while it was standing eating on the edge of the first lane at about 285. I was shooting lane 2.
