If this has been covered before, I apologize. My google-fu didn't cut it. I have a Leopold Mk4 10X. Love the scope, hate the duplex reticle. Does anyone know if there is a way to get the reticle changed to a ranging type reticle?

Re: Leopold Reticle Replacement

The Leupold custom shop can swap out the reticle for you to a mil-dot, TMR, etc., and I think that the cost is approx. $175 plus your S&H costs.

Aside from Leupy...I don't know of anyone else offering reticle conversions since Premier Reticles stopped doing them a while back.

Good luck!

Re: Leopold Reticle Replacement

I just had my Mk4 changed from mil-dot to TMR. Also did an M1 to M5 turret change. Price for the reticle change was 159.99 and it took about 2.5 weeks from the day I shipped it out to the day it was delivered to my door.

Last I heard, the T.K. Lee conversions were NOT being done on the Leupy Mk4 scopes. In any event...even if they are...not sure that's the sort of "ranging" reticle the OP had in mind.

Re: Leopold Reticle Replacement

Thanks for the info, all. Started with Leopold, waiting on a response. Guess we'll go from there!

Re: Leopold Reticle Replacement

Thanks, Rifleman. Haven't come up with an answer yet, so I will give these guys a call.

Re: Leopold Reticle Replacement

Holland's has several options in mil and moa. I called them about a mk4 I have but its illuminated so that was a no go. Very nice people to deal with. Some one on the optics for sale section had a mk4 they had sent to primier and had work done. The add was for 3 leupold scopes its still up on page 3 now. Might be worth a call

Re: Leopold Reticle Replacement

Texas, I don't know. I spent 30 minutes on hold to get to a technical assistant, who took about 20 seconds to tell me that they would change out the reticle in my scope for 160+, but the only thing that they would change it to was a standard mil dot. Maybe with yours they can do better, since it isn't the same scope as I was dealing with. By the way, what part of the country are you in? My brother is moving to Houston, he may be in need of class 3 advice soon.

Re: Leopold Reticle Replacement

They will also clean the inside for nothing. I had the same thing done on my Mark 4. Didnt mention the dust in the scope but it came back clean as a whistle.

Re: Leopold Reticle Replacement

Talked to Holland today. Turns out they will replace reticles on Leupold scopes but only on variable powers, no fixed power scopes. Crap. Oh, well, looks like a sale might be in the works.

Re: Leopold Reticle Replacement

If I remember right reticle changes are usually determined by highest power. Reticles have to be re-designed for the different powers - high. Not sure how this applies to FFP but I think it is the same. I asked nightforce if they could change out my NP-R1 for a H58 and they told me they could only do the 3.5-15 and not my 5.5-22.

I contacted them asking them this same question and they told me that they are not currently doing upgrades to the Horus Reticles.

If you want the Horus Reticle you have to buy a new scope.

Re: Leopold Reticle Replacement

Problem solved! My good buddy Darren hooked me up with a good trade on my Leupold towards a used, immaculate, NightForce NXS 5.5-22 with an NPR-1 reticle! Thanks, Darren!!!

Do you guys know if leupold still changes reticles? Gonna call them tomorrow about my mk6 1-6

Last I heard they had closed the custom shop for now. Report back with what they say.

I’ve had several SFP scopes done with reticle swaps. Mostly VX6 scopes. Had a couple turrets done over the years. The cost to do it on a FFP mk6 was insane. $400+ if I recall. Easier to sell and buy the one I want at that point.

They charge differing amounts depending which turrets/reticle you want.

The turrets on the Mark 6 are a lot more expensive to change than a VX5 for example

Reticle only. May be off on price but it was hiiiggghhh. Called about my old mk6 with TMR. They stated it’s a lot more involved on the FFP optics.

They no longer offer M1 to M3LR turret changes on the 3.5 - 10x.

=============

Hello-

The M1 unfortunately can not be changed to the M2 orM3 dials.

Thank you,

Matt

What's on your mind?
Can a Mark 4 M1 be changed to a M3 LR or M2 speed turret configuration for 175-grain Sierra bullet ammunition? Thanks.

Just got off the phone with leupold, they said the custom shop is closed indefinitely, "not viable" blah blah🤷‍♂️guess I'm gonna have to sell this mk6 lol

A friend of mine had the turrets changed on VX6 2-12 within the last 2-3 months.

I'm in New Zealand and any repair/custom work is done by NIOA in Australia, he has a VX5 with them at the moment having warranty work done.

Could be worth messaging them if Leupold USA isn't being very helpful.
