I was looking at 1 lb of reloader 15. I was wondering how many loads I could get out of 1 lb. I looked it up and it says there about 452 grams per pound. if it takes about 41 grams per load thats only around 11 loads per pound. at $21.00 a lb. thats $2.00 bucks a shot? by the time I add brass, primers, bullets, I'm at around $3.75 per shot for a .308........I don't think I'm adding this up right. Can someone help a dumb ass out? Thanks.

I myself was not looking to do any reloading. I don't have the stuff and have never done it, but a friend of mine told me to get what I needed and he would gladly do all I needed. So I was just sitting here trying to figure out what I needed and how much. I have 100pc of match brass, I got the bullets and primers but when I got to the powder it was 1lb or 5lb so I was trying to figure out how much was needed. I figured 1lb would be enough but then my math went south. But i'm good.......for the moment.

7000 grains per pound, not grams. Make sure yor scale is set to grains, not grams. The first step is admitting you have a problem.

I load ammo for friends all the time. No charge, no hot loads. They know how anal retentive I am about just about everything an trust me to not blow their butts up. LOL! My time at the reloading bench is not all about money, although that box of Hornady super performance you bought for $31 bucks cost me $13.80 to duplicate. The satisfaction and enjoyment I get of "Rolling my Own" I'd have to pay for! So really I'm saving money twice. The savings for the ammo loaded and the entertainment value of not having to watch "Dancing with the star". When I start doing that crap PLEASE Somebody shoot me! LOL! Seriously!

I think you have a misunderstanding of the two rules. Absolutely nothing wrong with handloads but they take considerable time to fabricate and a lot of people that can't be bothered, do not appreciate the time and effort that goes into my custom ammunition. All they know is saving a couple bucks and THAT is not what it is all about. So, why should I waste my valuable time on somebody with that kind of attitude? A real, true friend, I would bend over backwards to help, but some Joe Blow in the club; not at all interested. BB

Not a rule of mine. Most of the time you can tell by looking at a guy and his stuff, if you will shoot his shit! Sorry.
I shoot peoples guns and loads all the time, how else would a guy know what he can't live without?
I also load for people, all the time, especially if we want to shoot someday and a person isn't ready. I will not develope loads for people, but if they have a recipe, yes.
Heck, I'm waiting for a call from a friend so I can go to his place a and load some ammo for him, shoulder surgury, using his equipment, it will be fine.
