Gunsmithing LMT MRP Custom Conversion Question

I am looking for information on a possible conversion for my LMT MRP CQB16. I would like to purchase a barrel, bolt, and carrier in .264 Les Baer, from Les Baer of course, and have a good gunsmith do the conversion for my LMT.

So if anyone knows of a GOOD RELIABLE gunsmith that possibly does this kind of conversion, please let me know.

Re: LMT MRP Custom Conversion Question

Just buy a donor LMT barrel and send it to les baer and have them chamber the barrel with the LMT MRP barrel extension.
If they are a true gunsmithing shop, that should be no problem for them.

I have taken apart donor LMT MRP barrels and made custom chambered barrels for them.
It's really not much different than standard AR barrels except that LMT won't sell you JUST an MRP extension.
I'm even an LMT dealer and they won't sell them to me knowing that I specialize in custom AR-15 barrels...

Thanks for your suggestion, I have dealt with Les Baer several times and have already called them.

They only build to their specifications, owning several I cannot argue with the finished weapon, they all shoot great.

Having been in the AR-15 barrel manufacturing business, I can tell you that when they won't accomodate a special request, it's because they just job the work out and don't actually do the barrel work in-house.

See if they are still doing it </div></div>

Thanks, I have already called them several times, but no answer, finally left a message, waiting for a response. </div></div>

Dennis at DBMG might be too busy to do anything at the moment. He has a contract to build a massive quantity of AR 57's.

Re: LMT MRP Custom Conversion Question

I was wondering the same thing. I want to do a White Oak Armory 24" barrel for my Rifle length MRP.
