UA is very good stuff but also look at Cabela's online to see what they sell that is a less expensive equavalent. I love Cabela's polyester long underwear. I've used the same underwear for literally 14 years for ski patrolling (Nordic and Alpine), hunting and winter camping.
Cabela's also sells UA clothing.

UA has been good to me so far, I have been rotating through the same 5 UA sweatshirts for a few years all still in great condition. Have a UA shirt as well used while in the marines still looks new compared to off brand stuff used and washed less.

Started using UA when I was in the military. Still use it today. Good stuff, but a little expensive.

UA stuff is ALL good quality/performance in my experience with it over several years. I've owned several difference pieces of UA gear and it has all done its job well within what it was designed to do.
Of the two links you posted, I have used the pants over the course of a weekend and I stayed both warm and dry despite less than good conditions. My only gripe is that they only come in the single inseam size (32") regardless of waist size which was a bit long for me (normally wear a 30"), but the waist size ran true for me (34-36" = L). YMMV, but just double check your sizing needs/requirements.

The tag said to wash sparingly and if you're hard on it/wash it regularly since it gets smelly quick, it will pill and I just can't stand that from something that cost me almost $60 less than a year ago.

In my book, these are ski wear. Completely waterproof with micro insulation. Not real good for on-the-move, too easy to overheat. These are better at protecting the body from dumps down the ski slope and wind.
As far as UA, their base layers and sweatshirts I like. The rest not so sure about. Kind of like a company searching.

Not sure why links don't work for some. I am looking at these for running matches and down time between shooting events not run and gun stuff.

I have the opposite experience with durability of the UA items I use.
The heatgear underwear have lasted me soooo long, I cant remember when I bought them.... I think it was 2001, because I was working off duty at Cabels and bought like 10 pair. I still have all of them and wear them everyday, only underwear I own. So saggin or bagging for me.
Heatgear compression/coldgear insulating shirts. I wear one under a uniform and body armor everyday. I have 6-8 heatgear and 3-4 coldgear. I have had no issues with durability with them, the coldgear stuff gets washed a lot during the cooler months, one clean, one dirty and one somewhere in a laundry pile.
Only thing I'll toss out, is that the ones I have are from the "Tactical" line. No idea if there is different construction or materials. As far as I can tell, the difference is the blacked out tags......

In all fairness, Steve, I have a pair of the cold gear base layer compression pants and have been really happy with em. They're only a year or so old but they've held up much better than my heat and cold gear shirts. I think the pilling came from a zippered jacket I wore over it. Seems like the abrasion just grabbed the material and started pulling at it.

I see, a more sedimentary use for protection from the weather and trickle charge over the day. These would work but I caution the use of pants without side zips if you want to put them on and take them off over the length of the course. You may have to remove your boots.
I would buy them one size up to throw over under-layers and to help minimize bulking and bunching friction.
For about the same price or a few dollars more:

I think it may have to do with the link going to the mobile website version, if you delete the "m." in the beginning of the link it should work.
I've never had any problems with the quality or durability of my UA clothes. I'm in the market for a new winter jacket, and the one you linked looks pretty nice!
