Well I spent most the summer messing with this thing and now I have it just how I want it. Now I need to Cerakote it. I have some idea of what I want to do but can't make up my mind. I really like a woodland camo but I'm not sure if it would look good on this rifle. So I'm thinking of a two-tone. I really like this Tarjac Green I have. Graphite Black will be my main color so I can pretty much use any color I want to match. I also have Tungsten Gray that I like. What do you guys think?

I guess rifle specs are in order:

Stiller Tac 30 with Stiller 20MOA base(barreled action by SPF)
Krieger .308 1/11 20" varmint 5/8x24
KRG Whiskey 3 chassis gen 2 folder
Jewell trigger
Nightforce NXS 5.5-22x50mm HS ZS MOAR
Seekins 30mm low 6/4 rings
Surgeon bolt knob
Ross Schuler brake
Atlas bipod and monopod
TAB Gear Elite Sling from Rifles Only
Traid Tac rear bag
5- AI 5rnd mags
2- AI 10rnd mags
Pelican 1750

And I finally finished my homemade oven to cure it in.

It shoots well. Hopefully I can get some Cerakote on it this week.

Did you get sample swatches of cerakote colors? I just got a few in the mail and the Tarjac Green is pretty dark.

Love your set-up though!

Re: Finishing up my first bolt action

Yes I got them. I just sprayed 2 Glock slides with it and they look nice. I'll get pics up later.

Dude, looks like it shoots terribly - you're several inches to the right of the bullseye. Better throw it away and move on to the next project.

In all seriousness, that's some great shooting on behalf of the rifle and the guy behind it. Nice job! I'm looking forward to seeing what you do for a finish, as I'll have a similar decision to make in another few weeks.

It was windy out that day my friends..... Serially, I just got into bolt-actions around March this year. I moved to a state that makes EBR's pretty much useless so I decided to go this route. So I am learning. I'm sure my rifle could shoot better then that. I do have a few 3 shot groups that are close to being one hole. I've also just dove into the reloading end with purchasing a bunch of stuff that I haven't had the time to set up yet.

I'll hopefully get some paint on it this week but I have to Cerakote a Mossberg 500 pink. I need to learn how to say "no"!!! Or "yes I can but you can't afford it". There seems to be some folks that are willing to pay as much to make their shit pink as they paid for the stupid shotgun. I don't fuckin' know???

I get some pics up in a couple days.

Thanks for the kind words ya'll!!!
