Hunting & Fishing my first bear

I was walking down a skid road and spotted this guy about an hour before dark eating black berrys. Ranged him at 510 yards and dialed in my 338 lapua and busted him in the lungs. This is my first bear.

6 guys and a few hours later we had him in the truck.

That is a nice black bear. Good shot and it doesn't look like that Lapua did his lungs any good!

we never weighed it proper but would guess in the 400-425# neighborhood
