I'm sure I am going to get blasted with all kinds of slander, but I would like some input. I just got a great deal (200 bucks) on a Howa M1500 in .30-06 with a Bushnell Elite 3200 fixed 10x. I understand that this isn't a DTI .375 with Nightforce optics. But please let me know what I can expect with this rifle?

Re: New guy

Dont expect much. That is a shit combo and will never shoot straight! You will be so dissapointed by the results you may never want to shoot again!

Let me do you a favor, send the rifle to me, Ill cover shipping, And Ill have it disposed of properly.

Now that we have that covered. I think you got a great deal on rifle that will serve you well and best of all in a caliber that will do it all.

I think with the right load you should be able to shoot 1 MOA or better.

Enjoy

Re: New guy

agree. thats a pretty nice deal. put an after market stock on it and it will help improve it as well (depending on which stock of course).

i had a howa in 308 a few years ago and I regret selling it. it shot great.

Re: New guy

Great deal! Shoot it for a while if you decide to keep it then consider new stock and bottom metal for a magazine. Welcome and have fun.

Re: New guy

In agreement with the prevoius couple of posts...
what you have is a hunting rifle, not a precision target rifle.
If you are shooting whitetail deer, wild hogs, or such out to about 200 yds, you should be fine.
Like the Mike said, put another stock on it with a good bedding job & you may be amazed at the difference.
One thing that can be said... a rifle is better than no rifle..
Shoot the hell out of it & you may learn the individual quirks of this one & figure out what works. You may find it has a taste for certain ammo over another...

Re: New guy

shoot it & enjoy it,the scope's almost worth what you paid for the whole thing,if you don't like it you could sell it & probably make a little money on it...
