It uses the dovetail mount that some of the AWs have instead of a pic rail. I dont know about anything else unique as it should work with other 11 mm dovetails is you unscrew buffer underneath.

Are you sure that mount fits anywhere on the pic rail, AE pic rail being odd and all ?

There is only a spot or two but it works. We just sent an AE to an LE event in California with a NF and Spuhr on it. If you have a very narrow mounting length, it may not be the best but for the most part it does work.

Jason is right. The lower series of our mounts are a problem on AE rifles as their picatinny not is picatinny. In the spec for picatinny its clearly stated that there should be 10mm (.400") betwen each crossslot. Our low series of picatinny mounts have the screws halfway down into the picatinny and that is requirng that all the crossslots is there.
On our higher mounts there is only the recoillug visiable from underneat and there is no problems, but of course wants as low mount as possible. Easyest is likely to buy the US optics picatinny rail as it have all it's crossslots.

Hakan, I don't think the rail can be removed and replaced, they are epoxied and pinned.
Mark, as much as I like my Spuhr mounts, I think for the AE you'll be best off with the AI mount. They work very well on the MkII's and as simple as they seem to look it does the job intended perfectly.

Not on the AE. USOptics sells a 20moa picatinny rail for the AE that will allow you to use the low Spuhr mount.

Seems like a great mount. Not sure if this got covered but I shoot lefty due to left eye dominance. (righty by all other account) Is there an option with the level on the right side for us lefty shooters?
