Gunsmithing Recoil Lugs

Last operation, surface grinding. Sparks always make for cool pics and I've gotta baby sit this thing till it finishes up, so here's some lugs being ground to final size.

I use these on Remington actions mostly. Ones that I tune up and fit barrels to.

4140 chromoly heat treated to 35HRC.

These are the ones you build right? Pretty slick way to ensure consistency at any rate. It looks as though that pedestal is magnetic, that's pretty bad ass.

Yeps, all made right here. I like a wider base instead of the heavier taper that some use. Just offers more surface area to but up against the stock. Big corner radius to mitigate chewing up the bedding, etc. . .

How are the lugs attached to the table? Magnetic or something else?
