In the spring they ate my tomatoes, then they cleaned out my beans and peas. Yesterday I looked out in my yard, about 50 feet from my carport, and saw where a buck had stripped the bark off my prized hybrid willow.
I'll get that sucker....and his ho, too!

Re: Damn Deer

Hang plastic grocery bags by your garden and they will usually leave it alone. My neighbor has a garden near the treeline and they do not touch his garden until he takes the bags down.

Re: Damn Deer

Ive heard putting hair from the barbershop will work...but be sure your not growing any pot as the cops watch for hippies getting bags of hair to protect their 'gardens'.

That would be my approach as well, then you don't have to worry about the same pair next spring.

Re: Damn Deer

Screw your tomatoes! My truck is in the body shop for the next 4 days because of an ambush from a six-point at 60mph.

Re: Damn Deer

I have a tree & shrub nursery and the DAMN Deer love to eat my Japanese maples. Within 150 yards of my back porch I have about 1,000 of the Japanese maples planted. Just right for head shots from my 22lr Anschutz. I have a permit from the TWRA for 365,24.

Re: Damn Deer

I have had problems with my garden being destroyed by deer.
One year in a different area from were I live now, I obtained some Lion and Tiger urine from the zoo as well as Tiger Feces.
I put it in the garden like deer lure, only it worked as repellent. Wish I could find some now.

Re: Damn Deer

Hey, Kinsman... I'm just up the road in Marietta... I can give those deer some arrow therapy & then you won't have to worry about them anymore.

Lions and tigers, wow.

Uh, did you know that human urine works nearly as well?
