I just recently took delivery of my Black Ops Precision Jaeger in 338 Lapua Mag. I haven't seen a lot of pictures of the Black Ops rifles online so I thought I'd share a couple images; so far the rifle has been stellar. Fit/finish is better than anything else I've come across and it is shooting better than it's 3/8 MOA guarantee. In fact, I loaded up some 'random' reloads (91gr Retumbo under a 300SMK) to get a feel for the rifle and they have shot so incredibly well that I will stick with them rather than go through load development! This is a basic Jaeger but I opted to delete the EFR, add a fluted barrel, and went with a Sako TRG brake. Black Ops did a stellar job on this rifle and I am more than happy with it.

Re: Black Ops Precision Jaeger (338 LM)

There's nothing "basic" about any BOP rifle!!!

Sweetness dear baby Jesus...... Mike and the guys treat every rifle with such care.

You're another lucky BOP owner.

Re: Black Ops Precision Jaeger (338 LM)

mike's guns are rediculously nice. I have plans for a 2-3, lol very nice man very very very nice

Re: Black Ops Precision Jaeger (338 LM)

Mike builds a hell of a stick - his fit & finish cannot be beat!!

Re: Black Ops Precision Jaeger (338 LM)

71firebird400, that is a stellar looking rifle and I bet it even shoots better than it looks. I have one of Mike's Perseus in 308 and I am awaiting a 6.5 Creedmoor. They are kind of like Lays Chips you can't just have one.

Drool..
Congrats on a killer stick. Thumbs up on skipping the load development if it shoots that good.

Re: Black Ops Precision Jaeger (338 LM)

Congrats, what a great looking rifle... Mike and his crew sure know their business, no question about that.

I have to try to "forget" about my looming 6.5CM Perseus (JSTARZ is gettin' pretty much the same rifle as I am) in order to not call Michelle every week and say "HI.... is it done yet? How 'bout now? Now?"

Re: Black Ops Precision Jaeger (338 LM)

The delivery time got long, I can definitely sympathize there! However, the end product was worth it and after shooting this rifle I have forgotten all about how long it took.

Re: Black Ops Precision Jaeger (338 LM)

Beautiful rifle! wish I had one. It really looks like your scope is touching the barrel in that pic lol.

I like them low! Got about .055" gap between the barrel and the bell of the scope.

Re: Black Ops Precision Jaeger (338 LM)

Its hard to beat a good Black Ops Rifle! Mike and his team does a great job of going above and beyond the industry standard with his fit and finish as well as execution.

Congrats!

Might have to plan a trip out that way. Could stop by BlackOps on the way by.

Mark,
Glad it's working for you, and as always, call or email if you need anything.

Re: Black Ops Precision Jaeger (338 LM)

What an absolute beauty! Great attention to detail. Do you know if Black Ops get their bottom metal from Defiance or is it machined in house?

I'm not sure on the specifics of the agreement but it is Black Ops designed bottom metal. Whether it's built at Glenn's shop or Mike's is somewhat irrelevant. It's been great, though. I was a bit concerned that pushing the mag release would be a difficult for a single finger but it's proven to not be an issue. The anti-rattle piston is one of the most clever things I've seen in this industry.

Thanks again, Mike. You've been nothing but professional from the first time I called you to discuss ordering the rifle.

I echo what Michelle is saying here. We've been blessed with the ability to add new people to the shop that are really awesome, but most of all, we've been blessed with a great customer base that continues to grow.
