Re: Bulleye for 40cal ??

Do what Alliant says. They have fired many more thousands of rounds in testing than ANYONE on here. In my experience, 231, Clays and Bullseye are almost identical in their charges.

Re: Bulleye for 40cal ??

I shoot a 180 gr bullet with 5.5 or 6 grains of bullseye got the data out of an alliant powder book

Re: Bulleye for 40cal ??

I shoot titegroup a little with 40 cal, but that is probably because I have a bunch and it shoots.

Save the bullseye for the 9mm and try blue dot behind those 180 gr. 40's.Out of my ruger p91,7.5grs of blue dot will push a 180 gr zero brand fmj at about 950 fps.Plenty stout, but accurate and controllable.
