Hey guys I just wanted some opinions and advice on using blem bullets? Besides just some discoloring is there any performance issues? I have never tried them or know anyone that has. Thanks.

Re: Blem Bullets?

They work fine. I have shot thousands of blems and never noticed any accuracy problems. I have shot some damn small groups with blems, and will likely shoot more, in a couple weeks after I get my new rifle finished.

Re: Blem Bullets?

Okay. I appreciate it. I have seen blems for sale in different areas for what I would consider good prices and might just try some. Thanks.

Re: Blem Bullets?

I buy blems whenever possible. I have yet to find any that have any issues effecting accuracy. All I have ever noted were minor cosmetic things like darkening of the copper.

Keep in mind that when the bullets move down the inspection line, if a faulty bullet is spotted, the bullets move by too quickly for inspectors to remove one bullet. Usually, a swipe that gets the reject, also takes off quite a few perfectly good bullets along with it.

Re: Blem Bullets?

I've shoot the same scores across the course with my hand loaded Sierra seconds as I do with Blackhills match ammo.

Re: Blem Bullets?

Okay fellas. I appreciate the input. I will for sure not pass some up when I get the chance.

Re: Blem Bullets?

Agree with all, they are good for some less expensive range time.

Re: Blem Bullets?

been shooting blems and pulled for over ten years wiothout any issues. like said above, the only problem with those is that there isn't enough, or yuou can't always find what you want.

Re: Blem Bullets?

Im currently looking for blemished brass, does that exist???

Factory new blems of course.

Re: Blem Bullets?

Okay. All I would really use them for would be just shooting pdogs, coyotes, and some targets. So that should be good.

Re: Blem Bullets?

Looks like the general consenses in the thread is that there is no effect on accuracy....
Are you guys referring to close range accuracy, where external ballistic isn't to predominant yet or at long range as well (600-2000 yards depending on caliber)?
